My self-summary
I try not to draw attention to myself, and I take manners and politeness pretty seriously. What I'm saying is, your mom would love me. I'm generally careful about what I eat (but I'll also eat anything... I have stories), and I pretend I'm an expert chef because I catch an episode of Chopped here and there. I'm so optimistic and easygoing that I tiptoe into airheadedness from time to time. That's my excuse, anyway. ENFP but that's a recent and surprising change from ENFJ. I base my MBTI judgments from this: http://bit.ly/2bnQlwS
What I’m doing with my life
Recently returned to the states after living abroad for two years. Temporarily situated in the homelands while I figure out what's next.
I’m really good at
people. Reading them, talking to them, leading them, following them, understanding them.
The first things people usually notice about me
my height? Or maybe that I unapologetically shatter a fashion-don't from time to time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I really, really want to read more of the classics, but I've lacked motivation thus far. That said, I'm unashamed to have enjoyed all the crowd-pleasers like Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, and The Hunger Games. I like to read NPR and spend the occasional evening tumbling through websites researching useless information about black holes, serial killers, dog training, 9/11 conspiracy theories, or (related) how to survive falling from a plane.

Movies... Kill Bill is one (two) of my favorites, along with any Pixar movies, Argo, Inception, The Dark Knight, V for Vendetta, Little Miss Sunshine, How to Train Your Dragon, and many more. I haven't updated that shortlist in years, but I guess I align with the tomatometer pretty consistently.

Television—Battlestar Galactica, Girls, Breaking Bad, It's Always Sunny, Game of Thrones, Jeopardy, Adventure Time, American Horror Story, Modern Family. I just found the new Degrassi on Netflix and I'm sorry to say I'm in deep. Nostalgia is a bitch.

I can listen to tons of different music genres, but I've been stuck in a unique realm of lesbian synth-pop and I'm not looking back (Robyn, The Naked and Famous, Betty Who, CHVRCHES). My favorite indie-brag of all time is called The Seedy Seeds, check 'em out! Some other timeless gems include The Head and the Heart, The Civil Wars, and Fleetwood Mac.

I describe my current diet as "welfare nursing home" cuisine... Lots of steamed greens, oatmeal every morning, and I eat more beets than anybody. Spicy food welcome. Foods I dislike? That's a short list. I'll try anything once. No saurkraut or sweet pickles. My comfort food hearkens the "beef is what's for dinner" mentality I was raised with... steak, burgers, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, green bean casserole. I limit my meat intake as much as possible, because I buy in to everything I ever hear in a TED Talk. (If we chat/date/interact, there is a 110% chance I'll reference a TED sooner or later.)
The six things I could never do without
Brunch.
The ability to laugh at trivial misfortune.
Dogs.
My sense of smell.
Microbrew.
Hope/optimism/positivity.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Humans, why we're here, what my privileges are and how I should be improving my life or helping to empower others, "I need to exercise more," "I want hot wings."

... Just the usual stuff.
On a typical Friday night I am
out with friends or hosting them at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm 100% on the coconut oil bandwagon.
You should message me if
you want to? Pretty sure none of us have anything to lose by casting a line out. Apologies in advance if I'm slow to answer... I get lectured on this regularly by friends and family. I'm just too nonchalant for my own good - not to be mistaken for selfishness ;) Say hi and I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
