My self-summary
san francisco native
outgoing introvert
intellectual optimist
reads, writes and runs
sucker for puns (and, apparently, rhyming couplets)
What I’m doing with my life
i work for a large media company. currently developing a podcast in which i try to figure out just how near the singularity really is.
I’m really good at
believe it or not, miniature golf (at least the last time i checked).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
on the page: salinger, emerson, kierkegaard, david foster wallace, roberto bolaño, georges perec, joan didion, elena ferrante, john mcphee, elizabeth bishop, joseph mitchell

on the screen: chinatown, coffee & cigarettes (bill groundhog-day ghostbustin'-ass murray!), woody allen before he decided that the universe wasn't a moral place (i believe this happened somewhere around crimes & misdemeanors), pulp fiction, certain almodóvar films, wes anderson when he isn't being too precious, fellini, season one of twin peaks, all of the wire... my brothers and i can pretty much have entire conversations using nothing but caddyshack quotes.

through the speakers: i like the kind of music that people i know who are really into music give me :)

i have been known to make multiple references to episodes of this american life in a single conversation.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the other side of the issue. (i am pretty good at seeing both sides and awful when it comes to making decisions.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
someone recently told me that the bedouin diet consists exclusively of dates and camel milk, which sounded oddly appetizing.
You should message me if
you are smart and interesting (i.e. an original thinker), have an outstanding sense of humor and like to read.
