I was in a long-term relationship for most of the time I've been in Milwaukee, but I've been single (mostly) for a few years now. While I don't have high expectations for online dating, I figure it can't hurt to have something out there.
It's a total cliche, but I fully believe in the whole "work hard, play hard" way of life. I'll also try anything once (maybe even twice). I can't guarantee that I'll enjoy it, but I'll definitely try it.
Even though I'm a Milwaukee transplant, I love attending Packers, Brewers, and Admirals games. However, my NHL and NCAA loyalties are still firmly planted in Michigan (Red Wings and Wolverines!!!).
I am independent, outgoing, and adventurous
I started dance lessons at age 4 (tap, jazz, and ballet), and recently signed up for some dance classes after a long hiatus. For the most part, it was like riding a bike...however, I learned that I am not good at hip hop.
I am also a certified scuba diver and try to go on at least one dive trip a year. Most recently I went to Cayman Brac.
I play several instruments (piano, guitar, clarinet, flute, saxophone, and voice, if that counts), so I guess I'd say I'm
pretty musically inclined as well.
I don't watch movies very often, but I love older comedies like Animal House, Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, Spaceballs. I hate to admit it, but I still laugh at the Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler movies from the early 90's.
My favorite shows all seem to be on FX lately...Always Sunny, Louie, The League, Sons of Anarchy.
I like all kinds of music except really twangy-sounding country, and I never turn down the chance to see a live show.
As far as food goes, as long as it's nothing totally weird, I will probably eat it. Except fish. Hate fish.
My two cats, Reggie and Wendell
Cell phone/computer (sad, I know)
Dance shoes, instruments, basically some form of artistic expression
My king-sized bed/pillowtop mattress (heavenly)
My awesome six-speed BMW 335 (that's an E90 if you're hardcore), a total impulse buy and now I'm completely obsessed with Bimmers
I'm still not sure what to choose here but I ended up changing my selection from "athletic" to "thin". Why? Because several of my male friends said all the "athletic" girls they had met online looked like they had EATEN an athletic girl.
On the other hand, if you constantly correct people to the point of being pretentious, don't understand that there is a time and place for being serious, or don't bathe on a regular basis, we probably won't get along either.
I should also mention that I'm interested in actually meeting people in real life. A guy friend once told me, "Attraction is subjective. It's especially subjective from the point of view of women, because they are nuts." Obviously, I can't agree with the whole statement, but the first part is true. There's no accounting for chemistry (or misrepresentation when you're meeting online).
