My self-summary
I'm a quirky, passionate, and active guy. I love a new adventure and really enjoy spontaneity, especially as life seems to get busier and busier as I get older. I'm involved in local philanthropy, theater, gay sports (re: games), and all the nerdy things. An unabashed weirdo, I love odd art, theater, or media. I travel a lot for work and pleasure (anywhere with mountains and water together makes me happy), but also like to be back home. I've lived in DC for over a decade. I'm looking for someone to discover new experiences with, but also someone who is interested in building a life together.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to make the world a better/healthier/happier place. I work for a health advocacy nonprofit, where I have been for 11 years (which sounds totally crazy now that I've typed it).

Getting to know those around me and myself better. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping others turn their ideas into reality. I have an amazing network of people to support me and I appreciate when my friends and family know and love each other.

Staying involved in my community. Whether through theater, fundraising, events, or board game nights, I feel a connection to DC and want to contribute something to the city.
I’m really good at
Seeing the good in people. Speaking the truth without pissing people off. Causing trouble. Synthesizing seemingly disparate information into one coherent thought.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
In literature and movies, I love historical fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, dystopian YA fiction, and anything weird. Music-wise, I definitely like anything you can dance to, whether that is Motown, classic rock, or electro-pop. I'm also into hip hop and electronic music. Food, well... I love almost all food and lots of it. Though I think peaches are the devil's fruit. The Bible clearly got it wrong.
The six things I could never do without
My family is the thing that truly comes to mind. I think I could do without most other things. Maybe books?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to maximize the hours in a day... or I'm day dreaming.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually dinner with friends, parties, and dancing. Sometimes board games or a good book, if it's been a long week.
You should message me if
You view life as an opportunity to learn and experience new things. I'm really into people that are passionate about their lives, even if they don't have the same interests as me.
