My self-summary
Not to brag, but I am seeing an Irish girl.

The way I typically describe myself is that I ask a lot of questions and probably answer too many.

I love people. I am very social and enjoy just about any topic other than cars and sports (okay they are somewhat enjoyable).

If I have a natural occupation, I suppose I see myself as a story teller. I love to tell stories, regardless of whether or not they are my own. Before I make a decision, I ask myself whether or not it would make a good story later. This usually results in less trouble than you might expect.

Before you get too worried, the opossum was for a school project.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated from college with a teaching degree. I am certified to teach high school level English or Biology. After college I worked full-time as a paraprofessional with an autistic student before accepting a job full time teaching English in Korea. After a little over a year with wonderful students, I decided it was time to try something new.

I am currently living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and teaching English Language Arts at an international high school. It's an entirely different experience here. I almost feel guilty about how much I am enjoying myself.
I’m really good at
skipping seques entirely.
The first things people usually notice about me
People really notice my beard when I have it. Currently I am clean shaved but every once in a while I bring it back.

I'm tall.

I smile a lot.

I keep relaxed and try hard to help others do the same.

Six things I could never do without
I am very close with my three brothers and the rest of my family, but they are not things so they do not count.

In no particular order:
video games
books that challenge me to think
microbrew (this can be a struggle in Korea at times)
kimbap (this will be a struggle whenever I leave Korea)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
hypothetical conversations, free will, goodness

When I see how everyone mentions in their profile how much they love music, I wonder how this universal human condition evolved and why. A video I just found that sheds some light on this experience:

Slime mold: unicellular or single-cellular, and its relationship to free will/individuality

My next blog entry.
On a typical Friday night I am
Back home, it was either sleeping or visiting friends. And visiting friends usually involved quality beers.

In Korea, every Friday night is different, but I usually try to go out and maybe do something new. Last weekend it was ping pong and noraebong. The weekend before it was jimjilbang. This weekend, a joke party? (I'm not sure what that is either, but I'm willing to find out) My apartment isn't anything to write home about, so why stay in?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In the "I'm really good at" section I almost mentioned my spelling but that kind of boasting has come back to bite me in the past.
