My self-summary
Running through the jungle with a massive predator hot on my tail; walking down the mean streets of the city, tracking down Ol' Mickey Nine Toes; zipping through black, empty voids of space on our way to find the undiscovered. These are some of my favorite things. By which, of course, I mean reading. Surpassed only by writing, which is another story altogether. Weaving together tales to draw the audience in, make them invest in, care about one of my characters sends anticipation and dread up and down my spine. Unfortunately it hasn't gotten any easier since I let my muse take that vacation to Florida.

Not all my time is spent with my nose in a book, however. Throwing on a pair of running shoes or some hiking boots (which reminds me, I need to get a new pair) and getting some fresh air and sun is key. A couple of weekends ago a small group of friends went up into the mountains and had a great time jumping rocks and following trails. At least until we ran out of water and shade and had to turn around with our tails between our legs. Very next week we went back and conquered. Great fun!
What I’m doing with my life
Looking at the choices I make and the paths I take and dealing with it all one step at a time.
I’m really good at
listening, laughing, thinking of a witty comeback a day late
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes. That or my curls.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Lots and lots of 'em.
Ender's Game, Dune, The Hobbit, Snow Crash, 1984, The Giver, Animal Farm and Fahrenheit 451 to name a few.
I'm currently reading Dracula, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Vagabonding: An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long-Term World Travel

Video Games:
Crono Trigger, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy Tactics, StarCraft, Fable 1, Pokemon, Mario Kart, Xenogears, Second Sight

Board Games:
Space Alert, Hive, Dominion, Tigris & Euphrates, Pandemic, Hedbanz, Clue, Blokus, Hera and Zeus

The Count of Monte Cristo, The Mask, The Princess Bride, V for Vendetta, Lucky Number Sleven, Underworld. Movies that have a good twist rank well, too. As long as it's not obvious. (*shakes a fist at tvtropes*)

TV Shows:
I don't watch much tv but when/if I do I enjoy Doctor Who, Castle, Good Eats, Iron Chef America, White Collar and

Just about anything and everything. There's your classic rock, hip-hop, country, rap, classical, techno... Each genre has its good and its bad.

As long as it tastes good, I'm not too picky. Usually willing to try something once or thrice. Except liver. Once was enough. Blargh!
The six things I could never do without
Family/friends, books (Kindle), music (ipod), games, nature, the ability to count
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever has grabbed my attention for the moment; the weekend, lunch, yesterday, why is the sky blue, how did that shiny come to be on the ground, travel, game mechanics, character development, that I need to stop being such a night owl, that I'll never stop being a night owl, so on, so forth...
On a typical Friday night I am
Working, enjoying a romp through someone else's universe or creating my own, taking care of my nephew, maybe doing some baking or cooking.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ask me and you might just find out.
You should message me if
something clicks or you wanna show me a crazy-awesome hiking trail, you wanna teach me francais.
