My self-summary
My life so far has been a series of rises and falls that have kept me back a lot. Still fighting to someday have a "normal" life, or at least as normal as it can be when you're me.
I really want to get back to school when I feel like I'm able. I miss it, I'm just not really sure what I want to go back and study.

Random fact: Little things can make me extremely happy and excited sometimes. I use the phrase "Ooooh, pretty!" quite a lot and am easily distracted by bubbles, sparkly things, and bright colors. I feel ashamed when I get too "girly" though, and will try to get myself under control.

(Please don't IM me on here. My computer and I don't really like OKC's instant messaging system. Send me an actual message, please.)

I am passionate, empathetic, and giving
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm still just trying to get a lot of things straightened out and built back up. It's a very long and complicated story. I'm living in Midland but also travel to Lansing and Claire a lot, too. I was going to LCC for a while, not really knowing what I wanted to do (I started out wanting to get a general associates and then go to Chicago to become A Salvation Army officer, then ended up deciding to try to major in accounting, then social work, then got into CNA training which I didn't get to finish due to personal reasons) but didn't really get much of anywhere with that before I had to move to Midland.
I’m really good at
...forgetting things? I'm not exactly good at naming things I'm good at. I'm very critical of myself. I also like taking care of people, if that counts. I'm a nurturing type of person.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm very quiet at first (except online, then I tend to babble).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Harry Potter, Odd Thomas, Twilight (I have to add that, while I loved the books, I absolutely DETEST the movies, and I hate Rob and Kristen for ruining the series for me), A Walk to Remember (though I'm slightly ashamed to admit it), Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Little Women, The Giver, The Hunger Games series, The Mortal Instruments series

Movies: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1,2, and 3, but I have not seen the new one and don't want to), X-Men, Daredevil, Spiderman, V for Vendetta, Hellboy, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Finding Neverland, Peter Pan, What Dreams May Come, The Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Lord of the Rings, The Phantom of the Opera, Transformers, Sense and Sensibility, Harry Potter, Wall-E

Music: Within Temptation, Apocalyptica, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, Plumb, Barlow Girl, Fireflight, Flyleaf, Switchfoot, Lifehouse, Cartel, Dashboard Confessional, Keane, Say Anything, Ok Go, Nickelback, AFI, Fall Out Boy, Muse, Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, Imogen Heap, Brandi Carlile, Sara Bareilles, Norah Jones, A Fine Frenzy, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Journey, Phil Collins, The Shirelles, OneRepublic, Lily Allen, Three Days Grace, Christina Perri

Food: Italian, Chinese, and Mexican (but I have to be in the right mood for it)

TV Shows: Castle, New Girl, House, Psych, Mysteries at the Museum, The Big Bang Theory, Bones, The Office, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Mythbusters, Once Upon A Time, Criminal Minds, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Downton Abbey and Supernatural Also a fan of pretty much any show Joss Whedon ends up coming out with.

I am thankful for Netflix and Hulu...
Six things I could never do without
1. People that care about me and support me (family, friends, etc.)
2. Music
3. The internet (I just moved and have been doing a lot of traveling between three different places, so it helps me keep in touch with people best right now.)
4. A camera (I love taking pictures, even though I know I'm not the best at it. I try and every once in a while I get a good picture.)
5. Faith and hope (I'm lumping that into one category, too. They kinda go hand in hand a lot.)
6. A good book to take me away from reality for a little while
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lately, it's mostly "Ummmm..... okay.... now what?"

My brain also is kind of random and will continue working while I'm not really paying attention (especially when I'm falling asleep) so there are occasions where I stop and wonder how in the heck my brain got onto THAT train of thought and I'll have to retrace to figure it out.

No lie, I once actually caught myself (just before I fell asleep) thinking "My mom is purple, so she doesn't need to wear sunscreen..." Yeah, that snapped me awake wondering WTF?!
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably watching several episodes of Criminal Minds while drooling over Matthew Gray Gubler. If I'm home alone, I also might turn on the radio and sing and dance like a dork around my room.

Things I would love to try someday:
-attempt to wakeboard and/or surf
- Scuba dive
-Visit the Winchester Mansion or some other famous haunted place
- Geocaching
- White-water rafting
- Play in the mud until I'm covered from head to toe
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't drive. Yes I am that much of a scaredy-cat that I've never gotten a license. Kinda makes attempting to have a social life a pain in the ass sometimes.
You should message me if
You got through my profile and still have the urge to talk to me, YOU'RE NOT OLD ENOUGH TO BE MY FATHER (sorry, I don't have daddy issues and I'm not into that), and you're not a jerk. That last part really helps...
