My self-summary
I'm a simple woman, I like handsome bearded men and breakfast food.

I live in Somerville and absolutely love this area, but would like to live in the country in the future because I want a goddamn yard. I'm a homebody and love watching terrible movies, but also dig going to weird fun places on the weekends (lobster shacks, flea markets, museum of science). I love food and animals and taking trips, went to Belize before nursing school started and am vaguely planning a trip to Japan for when I graduate.
I also really like trying new things just to see what they're like, recently I've done some archery, glass blowing, african dance, joined a fighting gym and I'd like to learn sign language and try a circus arts class too. Anything you can recommend?
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to pass as a functioning adult, eating take out, bumping into stuff, doing crosswords. Recently started nursing school at MGH so been hitting the books pretty hard, but on the plus side all my friends ask me about their weird medical problems now so that's been fun.
I’m really good at
Math, saying the wrong thing, finding things in my purse without looking at it, cat whispering, avoiding eye contact, sci-fi trivia, naming the countries, guessing the years movies were made, alienating other people's babies.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm hyper aware of what ppl notice first about me, please don't be that creepy guy that brings it up.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Sci fi and horror movies, sci books for that matter, Kurt Vonnegut, Walking Dead (Comic and show), Locke & Key, Stephen King, George Orwell. Reading a book about women who work in the wild that's actually been lulling me to bed recently.

Movies? Poltergeist, Aliens, Labyrinth, Devil's Advocate, Gone Girl, Event Horizon among others.

Music - I'm terrible at this, I hardly ever remember the names of bands or songs I like, so I have a really weird collection. A few I know I like, Daft Punk, Cake, The Beatles, Gorillaz, Johnny Cash, Kid Cudi... I recently got into Google music which actually has some really great suggestions...

Food - My friends will tell you it's all about food for me, love comfort food, sushi, indian, trying new food, coffee, sweets, candy. Just bought a bunch of little candy making kits from Japan where you mix up candy and put it into molds that make it look like food, so I have little hamburgers and ice creams and stuff...
The six things I could never do without
Eyebrow makeup - I know this is shallow but google "celebs without eyebrows" and you'll see how critical they actually are
Easily downloadable movies
The cat
My niece and nephew bc I can command them to say "I love you" now and it makes me feel powerful
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If I need to scrap this whole nurse thing and do something with less responsibility like barista-ing...
On a typical Friday night I am
Either eating at a restaurant or loafing around my house. Occasionally I'll drag myself out into the world and go out to Boston with my friends or see a movie. I'm lucky there's a ton of second run theaters by me so recently I've seen Ghostbusters, Rosemary's Baby and Enter the Dragon on the big screen. Just saw Close Encounters of the Third Kind at the Brattle which was quite lovely.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm in MENSA.
You should message me if
You can appreciate that while Alien is a better movie, Aliens is more fun to watch.
