I am looking to date and hopefully find someone to travel through life with. I have always wanted to find someone I couldn't wait to introduce my family too. That being said I am not a "rush into things" kind of guy. I am more of a "take it slow and get to know kind of chap" I would also love to travel and find someone who would to be an adventurous travel companion. I would really like to meet someone who outside the bedroom is a best friend (OK how do you write these things and not sound corny?...embrace the corny I guess :-)
I enjoy getting dressed up and hitting the town just as much as baggy jammy around the house couch potato times.
At times I am a bit of a clown/goof ball...I like to make people laugh. I have an affinity for cheesy puns, potty humor, and singing just about any song with a really bad Cher affectation. (I am ready for my gong Mr. Demille!)
I am mature with a splash of kid at heart. I love my friends and family. They are very important to me. I have handful friends who are like family to me and my NYC/world would be a much sadder place if they were not in it ;-)
I have an odd combination of introvert and extrovert. I am pretty outgoing but I have a closeted (and sometimes not so closeted) shy person inside me ;-) That being said once I am comfortable with you it's all good. I am welcoming and open to new people and always try to put my best foot forward.
When not being artsy, I pay the bills working in the medical field as a cat scan tech.
I am not a huge bookworm. I love books I just have a hard time curling up with one. I tend to do audio books because I can do other things while enjoying. I am a big kid at heart so I love the Harry Potter series. I have actually dabbled into the Star Wars world of novels and love them (when Chewbacca died I was crushed...oops SPOILER ALERT). I just got into The Hunger Game trilogy and it was a track-turner. I also have a geeky love of X-men comic books and animated series (not so much the movies although I did enjoy the most resent prequel flick).
MOVIES (in no particular order):
Star Wars (the original of course, but even the newer films have a place in my heart because I am very loyal), The Incredible Shrinking Woman, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Too Wong Foo, Torch Song Trilogy, Flash Gordon (so campy and nostalgic), The Nightmare on Elm St. series (particularly 1, 3, 4, and 5) The Toy Story Movies (I cried at the last one...twice), Madonna:Truth or Dare, Who's that Girl...I could go on but you get the basic idea...I am gay, nerdy and campy ;-)
I love TV marathons...pizza and Sex and the City on DVD there has to be a support group (that's right I am loyal and I still love Sex and the City...notice I have listed this under shows and NOT in movies LOL although if you want to play "Where's Waldo" I am in the first Sex and the City movie for 2.5 seconds)
Sex and the City (did I mention that already?), Battlestar Galactica, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Star Trek Voyager and Enterprise, with a splash of TNG. Just started watching old episodes of The Cosby Show (that man is comedy royalty). Sucker for reality TV shows: Survivor, Project Runway, The Biggest Loser, Americas Next Top Model, Rupauls Drag Race, The Sing Off.
The Pet Shop Boys, Madonna, Tori Amos, Beth Ditto (Gossip), Kate Bush, Erasure, Marc Almond (Soft Cell), Cyndi Lauper, Showtunes, Dolly Parton (I am not really a county fan but you gotta love Dolly)
Favorite comedian mentions go out to Ms. Sandra Berhard...I adore her!
choice "C" "all of the above" I just love food. If I must narrow.
PIZZA!! My mom's cooking!! Mexican, Indian, I enjoy going out for sushi but I usually get the vegetable rolls I enjoy dipping things in wasabi and having flames shoot out of my nose. I enjoy spicy!!
hard drive filled with my favorite movies and music
fire and water (I know that makes it seven things but I have recently watched a lot of "Survivor" and I have learned the basics ;-)
I was obsessed with Linda Carter as kid (ok still am...I actually met her a couple years back...she was lovely...then she called for security LOL) and I used to dress up like Wonder Woman and I asked my mom if should could sew hooks on all my pants so I could carry a golden lasso around with me (Linda Carter got a kick out of that story...her exact quote "That must have gone over real well in Virginia (where I lived at the time, my dad was in the navy)
I battled with weight for many years. In high school I weighed around 300 lbs. Over the years, many fad diets, and a plethora of gym memberships later I am now plateaued between 160 and 165. I would still like to drop another 15/20, but as they say that last 15/20 are the hardest.
