My self-summary
Family is everything to me and there isn't much I wouldn't sacrifice for them. I'm a 22 year old living in Ellicott City just trying to stay the course and have fun with friends. Consider myself a romantic, it makes me happy being able to do for others, whether its a gift, or just the little things. Like to be around nice people, fake people pretty much make me sick.
I'm looking for a smart, fun, and just all around caring person and to see where that could go. Also, someone who appreciates the sentiment that chivalry is not dead.
What I’m doing with my life
Just trying to find my place in the universe. Took a break from college in 2009 to take care of my aunt who was battling brain cancer. I was extremely close with her and she passed 3 years ago. After all of this, I didn't want to go right back to school right away, so I have been working full-time in retail.
I've also been getting back to writing. I am now working on some screenplays among other stories as well as the occasional poem.
I’m really good at
Writing. Talking about movies. Making friends and family laugh. Photography.
The first things people usually notice about me
When I am sporting a beard, I get perplexed looks from people because the color of my facial hair is so incredibly different compared to my actual hair. Hair on my head is dark brown and I grow a pretty vibrant red beard. I still have not figued out if its a polish thing, irish thing, scottish thing, or maybe there is viking blood in my family.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: To Kill A Mockingbird. Life of Pi. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. The Art of Racing in the Rain. The Stranger. Harry Potter. The Hobbit. Ready Player One. The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. Bridge To Terebithia.

TV Shows: LOST. 24. Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Mad Men. Firefly. The Sopranos. The Wire. Treme. Boardwalk Empire. Game of Thrones. Weeds. The OC. Battlestar Galactica (remake). Breaking Bad. Parenthood. Justified. Community. FRINGE. Friday Night Lights. The West Wing. pretty much anything Aaron Sorkin does.

Movies: I can't really go into too much detail, just because I wouldn't have enough room. Casablanca is the all-time favorite. The movie is just absolute perfection. Also love The Shawshank Redemption. Perks of Being A Wallflower. Back To The Future trilogy. BLUES BROTHERS is also an all-time favorite. Love any movie that Wes Anderson does. Into the Wild. Lost in Translation. Good Will Hunting. Little Miss Sunshine. White Heat. Donnie Brasco. Scent of a Woman. When Harry Met Sally. Philadelphia. Goodfellas. Leaving Las Vegas. The Squid and the Whale. Adventureland. Cloud Atlas. Grave of the Fireflies. Spirited Away. Road to Perdition. Inception. An Education. Never Let Me Go. So many more...

Music: I consider myself a RENT-head, the musical just contains some of the best music EVER. My music taste though is probably the most ADD thing about me. It spans the spectrum from A.F.I to 80s rock; R&B, Rap. Florence & The Machine. Band of Horses. Bon Iver. The Rocket Summer. Linkin Park (especially after their return to form w/ Living Things.) PEARL JAM is probably the favorite band. Eddie Vedder is just a genius. Also enjoy Kanye West (asshole makes some amazing music), Mumford & Sons, and plenty of others. Lately I haven't been able to stop listening to Robert Downey Jr's gem of a record, The Futurist. He made it pre-Iron Man after he got clean and its seriously amazing, more people need to check it out. Lately I have been obsessed with M83. The only BOSS that means anything to me is Bruce Springsteen.

Oh, and the BEST band in Charm City, MD...THE HINT!
Six things I could never do without
My family
My friends
My camera
ability to write
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I'm going, where I've been. My family. My friends.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either at work, the movies, or with friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a vegetarian...but not in the sense that I think animals dying to produce food is wrong. If you do, I'm sorry and more power to you. I became a Vegan, first, about 3 years ago at the urging of my aunt who was concerned about my health. Lost 70lbs and have not looked back. I am now a fully functioning Pescatarian (I don't eat meat, but I eat fish)
