My self-summary
Quick description: cat-adoring, freedom-loving, book-carrying, wanderlusting writer with a tendency for hermitage, an adoration for the past, passion for the ocean, and a thirst to commune with the wild.

I do so love going out to bars, dancing, museums, or just going out and cruising a city or the country. Love travel, books, conversing, cats, my Jeep Wrangler, Doctor Who, music, movies, and video games. Pretty much the whole media gambit.

I'm a writer (I know, I know, who isn't?) focused on fantasy, sci-fi, and modern fairy tales. I'm pretty spontaneous and creative, love having fun, and very random at times to the point that a lazy Sunday afternoon of video games turns into a dolled-up night on the town in Boston in the blink of an eye. I'm also know for breaking into dance at random down aisle of stores, restaurant booths, and in cars. You should see the kind of dancing I do while baking.

I'm also a witch. (Details: Animistic hard polytheist secular witch.) I'm very serious about my beliefs but I'm incredibly open-minded and laid back. I respect others beliefs and only ask that you respect mind. I also like experimenting with herbs, witchcraft, and basic science. It's fun and keeps the boredom at bay, most of the time. I do like to talk about my beliefs but I'm not out to convert people. That's totally not my gig and I'm against forced conversion entirely.

If you're looking for a girl that's creative, fun, spontaneous, who loves an evening out with food, drinks, and friend or spends a day in reading, blogging, playing video games, and watching TV you might be looking at the right girl. If you're searching for a girl who can talk about the the best beaches and travel sites at an anime convention then switch to discussing Norse mythology and the best way to make homemade fruit wine on tumblr then listening to gossiping about friends and life at a cozy pub then we definitely need to chat!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a professional witch and fortune teller. I teach students and sell my wares and services to the public I run two online shops and
blogs dedicated to witchcraft mostly over at thiscrookedcrown.com. I write fiction - fantasy mostly and will be published sometime 2015. I really, really love my work and it's a huge passion of mine.

Saving up to finish my degree in anthropology. (Or archaeology. Or mythology. Whichever I have the most credits in at this point). Then probably going on to a masters then a Ph.D in folklore. In the mean time I take free online courses from universities around the world. I'm also taking courses to become a licensed herbalist and a reiki master.
I’m really good at
Writing. Seeing. Witchcraft. Reading. Petting cats. Napping. Traveling. Talking. In that order.
The first things people usually notice about me
The hair. It's blonde princess banana curls gone wild. I can and have been spotted by the hair in a crowd by strangers.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Too many. Far, far too many. Top list off the top of my head? Neverwhere and American Gods by Neil Gaiman, Howl's Moving Castle by Dianne Wynne Jones, Mushishi by Urushibara Yuki, the Hobbit, any form of the Journey to the West story or mythology. Folklore, superstitions, and mythology are loves of mine. (I've been tamed once or twice by being taunted with a book). Favorite authors? Judika Illes, Neil Gaiman, Dianne Wynne Jones, Terry Pratchet, J.D. Robb, George R.R. Martin, Janet Evanovich, Patricia C. Wrede, Ono Fuyumi, Minekura Kazuya, Jim Butcher, CLAMP, Urushibara Yuki, Takabayashi Tomo, Akino Matsuri, Kinoshita Sakura, Ōtsuka Eiji, Shimotsuki Kairi, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Tolkien, ... I'll stop now. I read more fantasy than sci-fi.

Movies/ TV: Let's just say most fantasy, sci-fi, paranormal, and action. Doctor Who, Firefly and adore Star Trek and Torchwood. The 10th Kingdom, Once Upon a Time, Grimm, Sherlock Holmes in general, Pitch Black, Haven, Salem, Troll-Hubyer, Merlin, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along, Leverage, Ghost in the Darkness, Destination Truth, Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, Avengers, Saiyuki, xxxHOLIC / Tusbasa, Mushishi, Tactics, Kyo Kara Maoh!, and I'm stopping there because I will keep going. I still watch kid's movies (What? They're good stories) and I actually like musicals (and theatre). I watch more sci-fi than fantasy.

Music: everything from J-rock to German folk to Scottish Gaelic ballads to American soft rock. I love violins and flute and can barely carry a tune. I love music I can dance to (and not just club dancing but ritual or artistic dancing)

Podcasts/Radio Shows: Welcome to Night Vale, New World Witchery, The Wigglian Way Pagan Podcast, Neverwhere (2012). I'm always looking for good, new ones too.

Food: I'm a comfort food kind of girl. Willing to try anything. Love seafood. Adore sweets and fruit. Dislikes organs (it's a thing). I bake fairly well and often so there's that.

Video Games: Elder Scrolls series, Mass Effect series, Dragon Age series, Disgaea series. Civilization and RTS games hold a special place in my heart. Willing to try anything, but RPGs FTW.
Six things I could never do without
Absolutely can't live without? Being able to write. My brain, it would explode.

If given 6 hours I could move my entire life to another country but here would be the first sixth things I'd grab:
The internet (and assorted devices for it)
My cat
Pen and paper
Essential foods and liquids (water, tea, honey, fruit, chocolate, pizza, fish and chips, french fries, etc)
Books (including my grimoires)
Needle and thread and a knife
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever I'm writing. Mythology, folklore, superstitions. People. Books. Witchcraft. Why I don't have a self-pouring coffee machine. I love thinking about where game/book/movie/TV series are going. The world. Politics. Religion and spirituality. Social issues. What the cats are thinking.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home with the cats, blogging or working, and some sort of entertainment (books, video games, writing, crafting, etc). On occasion I might go out to a bar or stay home and bake up a storm. Witchcraft and writing obligatory.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My sleeping disorder runs my life more than I do sometimes. But shh, don't tell it. It can sense weakness.
You should message me if
You haven't clicked the x button at the top and are intrigued. I swear I'm just as crazy as I sound, more or less. But a good crazy. The chaotic wild fun crazy. That's a thing, right?

I'm looking for a passionate guy who's willing to see adventure in their life, respects and embraces my frequent freedoms and independence, and is willing to explore the world with me. Enjoying an evening of drinking and hanging out or movies, video games, reading, and cats is a bonus. Not being weirded out by finding jars of witchcraft laying around the house is a super bonus but completely not required (Haha! That's trespassing into dream territory, that is!).
The two of us
