My self-summary
I believe in treating people how you want to be treated. that the most important things I can be doing are to put beautiful things into the world and be a good friend. I have a lot of strong personal principles that keep me sort of distracted from more practical concerns. I tend to be quite serious even when being lighthearted, and prefer to do meaningful things than "just have fun." I'd rather be too accountable than not accountable enough, but that doesn't stop me from being playful and spontaneous either; if anything it allows me to enjoy life more.
What I’m doing with my life
biking, printing, drawing, thinking. trying to make sense of the world with the objects in front of me. often arranging them in ways that challenge the way we make sense of the world.

I'm an artist and a freelance graphic designer. I'm edging my way into publishing because I'm nerdy and bookish and the gravity of books as a tangible object makes a place feel more like home. I've got nothing against the internet though. I make some ebooks and websites too.

my favorite thing to do is invent art installations as an excuse to talk to strangers and turn those conversations into part of the installation. think low tech time lapse. I do this because I believe most people have a very intelligent grasp on the world around them, and exposing that truth counters the media narrative that there's some large portion of idiots out there that need to be reigned in. most people don't need to be reigned in. most people need to be heard.
I’m really good at
keeping in touch. color combinations. typography. finding similarities between different genres of art and music. learning new things. spatial awareness. cracking a half decent pun. mix tapes and writing letters.
The first things people usually notice about me
it's a mixed bag, really.

On a typical Friday night I am
printing. I like to go out on weekdays for less crowds. if an event is crowded I'll stop by and squeeze the people I know and take off. I call myself a closet introvert. lots of friends, lots of alone time. too much talking can make me grumpy.

on the flip, it is not unusual to find me in the middle of a mosh pit or dance party. I come out of my shell sometimes. generally this still happens on a weekday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a bit of traditional romantic and I like to cuddle.
You should message me if
you're interested in printing, hiking, bike rides, picnics. you communicate well and are emotionally literate. this matters very much to me in every relationship I have. also, you have a book to recommend that I might not have otherwise heard of.
