My self-summary
My name's Alex and I'm a Brit moved over to Tampa, still getting used to the lack of rain and the American accents I encounter. I'm a pretenious ass that likes exotic food, fine wines and foreign films. I 'm also a huge geek that loves steak n' shake, brightly coloured cocktails and movies about superheroes.

I have an opinion on politics and current affairs. You should have one too. Its fun.

I can dance. And sometimes I do it sober.

Would love to do more open mics.

Looking to find someone to hang-out with and laugh at all the dumb stuff this world has to offer. : be gentle.
What I’m doing with my life
Working for a company that provides tranistional work for injured workers. Still not using my English Lit degree, no matter how much Shakespeare I quote at people. Working on getting healthy and better read. Trying to record some music at some point too.
I’m really good at
At talking to anyone, avoiding eye contact and making people laugh. I've made the greatest grilled cheese in human history....while drunk....outside in the rain.
The first things people usually notice about me
1. The accent
2. My sarcasm
3. My eyelashes for some reason
4. The way I seem to move my hands alot when speaking.
5. My complete inability to flirt.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read alot of non-fiction mostly Chomsky, Gore Vidal and Orwell essays are great. My all-times favourites are Brave New World, Disgrace by JM Coatzee, My Name is Red by Pamuk and anything by Philip K Dick.

I'm a bit of a film buff so pretenous stuff like Haneke, Von Trier and Mike Leigh is good. I love The Big Lebowski and Eternal Sunshine and will always watch Ghostbusters and Toystory when ever they are on TV.

I pretty much like all music aside from alot the dubstep stuff and 'pop hop' (bland radio hip hop). I really like indie rock like The Black Keys, Imgine Dragons, The Cinematics, Two Door Cinema Club and Interpol etc. I was a emo kid a long time ago but I still got love for Alexisonfire, Taking Back Sunday, Funeral for a Friend and all the others from like 2003. Recently I've been listening to La Dispute because they're awesome and shiny.
The six things I could never do without
1. Laughter
2. Music
3. Good company
4. My Guitars
5. The family
6. Alcohol
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why William Shatner isn't in movies.....
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends drinking beer and talking bs or at home writing music, terrible poetry and short stories that none will ever read
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
One time I shaved everywhere, like a naked mole rat.
You should message me if
If you want to have an interesting conversation or want those pressing questions about England answered, no we don't all live in castles, the whole tea with milk thing etc. Or because you want to do something about my hair, it needs help.
