My self-summary
Native of Charlottesville, Virginia, moved to Chicago in 2014 after spending two years in Atlanta. Working on a doctorate in psychology at Loyola. I really enjoy working on research projects and writing manuscripts at a local coffee shop. I'm very goal-oriented, and it's a trait I highly value in a partner.

Somewhat of a gaymer. Enjoy chilling at friends' places playing board, card, and/or video games - Mario Kart (or anything Nintendo really) is a favorite pasttime that I still indulge in every now and then with friends (even better with drinks). I'm also a Pokemon geek and love team building.

ISTJ for what that's worth.
What I’m doing with my life
Work, teach, research, play, run, laugh. I try not to take myself too seriously, but I usually wind up being moderately anxious about whatever professional endeavors I've chosen to take on.
I’m really good at
Having deep discussions about social justice and interpersonal relationships, being quirky, watching Broad City on repeat.
The first things people usually notice about me
I come across as sort of shy at first, but I gradually open up as I get to know someone better.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV: Broad City, Parks and Rec, Weeds, Archer, Futurama, Family Guy, Seinfeld, South Park... those are the main ones.

Books: Not a lot. The concept of reading as a hobby appeals to me, but I don't have the patience or the attention span to sit down and do it. I normally wind up reading journal articles in psychology.

Movies: Inception, X-Men, Tron Legacy, Mean Girls... anything goes, but I tend to lean toward fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, and/or thrillers.

Music: I prefer dance and chillout electronic, but I'll listen to just about anything except country. Favorite artists include: Studio Killers, Royksopp, Kylie Minogue, Infernal, Daniela, Ferry Corsten, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Samantha James and Vitalic

Food: Italian!
Six things I could never do without

On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with a small group of friends. Every now and then I may hit up a gay bar/club, but it's not something I do on a regular basis. I prefer intimate conversations at someone's place - sometimes while playing board/video games.
