My self-summary
D.C. transplant hailing from New England. Proud graduate of an all women's college. Liberal feminist (it's not a dirty word), who is pro-choice. I care deeply about my friends and family.

I am a quirky/nerdy person who loves to laugh. While I may be a boring person, I collect fascinating friends to glitter around me and be interesting :) Also, I am a staunch believer in the Oxford Comma and have a deep and abiding love of flannel (I attribute it to my New England upbringing).

I wouldn't characterize myself as "athletic" (never played sports in school), but I do enjoy activities like kayaking, hiking, sailing, yoga, and dancing (though I admit I haven't had the opportunity to do many of these in too long).

I spend my time reading, listening to podcasts, doing crossword puzzles, experimenting in the kitchen (I don't eat out often, mainly because I love to cook), exercising, watching movies/tv shows (who doesn't love a good Netflix marathon on occasion?), going to museums, and exploring whichever city in which I find myself living. I'm energetic, ethical, a hard worker, an effective communicator, and a sincere friend.
What I’m doing with my life
Being employed, it's really awesome. More specifically, I work on a fundraising team at a non-profit. I love the work and that I get to keep my soul intact while acquiring a good skill set for the future. I'm also recently in search of new hobbies. Recommendations welcome!
I’m really good at
Listening to people, making small talk, baking, making friends, being punctual, making great music playlists, road trips, making people feel comfortable/at home, organizing things.
The first things people usually notice about me
My friends say I'm adorable, "smart as fuck," have pretty eyes, and smile a lot. I am an energetic person with a quick wit who appreciates opportunities to relax.

Six things I could never do without
Friends & Family
Good, interesting, and challenging conversations
Dogs (I host them and volunteer at a shelter in the city)
My self-reliance
My alma mater (we're a bit of a cult)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My friends and family, the battle of whether or not to work out that day, politics, what I want to cook (and how I can work ginger or dried cranberries into most things I make), defining what it means to me to be a good person and how to live my life accordingly, how to maximize efficiency in my every day life (everything I want to do and how best to beat my schedule into line to make it all possible)...oh, and puppies.
On a typical Friday night I am
Normally spending a quiet night in, or hanging out with some friends in a low key environment. Every once in awhile, I do enjoy going out for a night on the town, but in general I prefer socializing in places other than bars.
You should message me if
*You're not arrogant
*You're not materialistic
*You enjoy a good pun and/or witty banter
*You're interested in a relationship and ready to devote time to one. Those looking for a "we're just hanging out" situation need not apply.
