My self-summary
I'm a former shy-girl who has somehow developed a proper gift of the gab and huge self-confidence - but I still blush every now and again ;-)

I like to think of myself as a people person, I am compassionate and warm and don't like to see anyone upset or hurting. I have a quirky and intelligent sense of humour, which is also often borderline immature, but I think there's plenty of time to act old and sensible, so there :-P ;-) :-)
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I feel I'm at a bit of a crossroads.. Have been working in my current industry for just over 7 years (OUCH) and I'm starting to find that working for the man just isn't doing it for me anymore - it pays the bills, but I'm hoping to embark on more creative pursuits aswell in the near future... watch this space :-)
I’m really good at
You know when something awful has just happened and you need someone to help you see the bright and positive side? Well that's where I have a talent. Don't ask me where it has come from, but I have trained myself to always see the silver lining, or always see the funny side.
The first things people usually notice about me
is my big smiley face.. There are too many people walking around with big scowly-frowns, and I don't want to join them.

Smile and the world smiles with you!!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I could be here all day!!!

To be clear first of all - music is my air. I simply can't understand people who don't adore music. I have wide and varied tastes, love most genres (with the exception of cheap and tacky chart music)... notable favorites would be Kings of Leon, Marvin Gaye, Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Fleetwood Mac, Rodrigo y Gabriela, The Doors, Lauryn Hill, The Eagles, Tom Petty, Oasis, Joy Division, Daft Punk..

With books, finding the time to actually curl up with a book these days is rare, but it's something I love to do.. I like autobiographies , contemporary and classic novels, and am even privy to the odd motivational book (some can be quite inspirational!!!)
I tend to re-read books I love - for example Pride and Prejudice, Fight Club, Kane and Abel, Death of a Salesman, the Damage Done, To Kill a Mockingbird, Life of Pi, Wuthering Heights...

Moviewise...Some of my favorites: Almost Famous(my fave film of all time), Schindlers List, Donnie Brasco, Catch Me If You Can, Walk The Line, The Beach, Shawshank Redemption, Kick Ass, Dumb and Dumber, Trainspotting... and one film I love despite it being quite hard to watch - American History X. I also love a good Documentary.

TV, I'm quite new to being roped in by TV series, but there are a few I have absolutely devoured- Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Shameless, Entourage, Desperate Housewives, Scrubs..

Foodwise, I was a very picky eater as a child but thankfully I'm starting to grow out of that and I am quite adventurous by my standards! Never ate Italian/Thai/Chinese/Indian food until I was in my 20s! Yeah I know!!!!! I don't know what the hell I ate growing up...
Six things I could never do without
Sunglasses (can't stand squinting!)
Bounty Bars
The 'do not disturb' function on my phone
Bank holidays
Nice perfume
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What would the world be like if everyone's money just became worthless and everyone was financially equal!!?
On a typical Friday night I am
Curled up on the sofa with something yummy and a movie - I'm simply pleased :-)
