My self-summary
My names Alleigh. Said like Allie, but I had a wild hair in freshman year of college that made me change the spelling, and it stuck.

Big things: I love the arts. I love education. I desire to make this world a better place for all things that inhabit it. If you are not on board with those things, please move along.

So, about me. I work in educational theatre (and please leave if you insist on spelling it 'theater') as a production assistant. This means I do pretty much anything and everything that it's technically necessary to make productions, events and the like go smoothly. So, I play with lighting, sound boards, and build sets. Yea, you could say I'm living the dream. So long as it isn't tech week.

Outside of that, I graphic design for a local software development company. Yes, as in websites (but also a lot of other cool things). No, I cannot write a link of code, and no, I will not build you a website.

Oh, and I'm also mom to the coolest kid you'll probably ever meet. I could be biased, but hey, what good parent isn't?

So because I'm so super busy please don't take it personally if I don't respond right away. I am terrible at messaging and texting, and even writing this summary has been a painstaking update I have put off for quite some time. 😝
What I’m doing with my life
Designing.
Mom-ing.
Theatre-ing.

Not always in that particular order. And I'm often blending the three at all together. But, for you theatre folk out there, I'm proud to say my son is one of few four-year-olds alive that knows what a cyc is!
I’m really good at
lots of things. Just ask.

Also, apparently too many things. Which gets me in trouble, often.
The first things people usually notice about me
You tell me. Usually people tell me I'm really easy to get along with, and that I smile a lot.

Then again, one kid at my school told me I seem bitter haha. It was during tech week, so I'll assume all is forgiven.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books mostly include plays, so talk theatre with me. I always appreciate a good book recommendation, and will likely take your advice if you do refer something to me. I'm not a huge movie person, but I have a few I like. Shows, on the other hand, are great (when I have time). Just casual, comedic stuff, like How I Met Your Mother and Dr. Who. My music taste isn't really restricted to any genre at all.
Six things I could never do without
My son.
Theatre.
My laptop (for doing the designings)
More Theatre.
Fresh air.
Food and water I guess 😝
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to survive the upcoming season.
Or month.
Or week.

Or today. Let's just start with today.
On a typical Friday night I am
Rehearsal.

Or doing said show I did the rehearsal for.

Or trying to do something. Like a normal human being maybe. Netflix and chill maybe? But mostly Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Anything! Just don't ask questions you might not want to know the answer to. It's dangerous, you know.
You should message me if
If you are looking for new friends, just someone casual to talk to. Just get to know somebody new and you aren't pushy or impatient, but chill and laid back.

Also, if you have good puns, dad jokes, etc. I need more material for mic checks.
