I studied languages at university, and recently got my first post as a Spanish teacher.
When I'm not wondering how my kids -- sorry, students -- are performing, I'm trying to keep up with all things nerd: games, Netflix binges, and the occasional film with friends. I prefer pub nights to club nights, but if the company's right I'm down for anything.
Clichéd as it sounds, I really love to travel and see new places. I've recently got back from Paris, and I'm looking at where I can go next.
Movies: Comic book adaptations, Woody Allen films, and world cinema. My all-time fave, though, is Jim Jarmusch's Dead Man.
TV: I'm in love with House of Cards, The (US) Office, Portlandia and The Bridge. For animated stuff, Bob's Burgers and Archer can do very little wrong. I'm currently playing catch-up with Mad Men, so no spoilers please!
Music: Literally anything. At the moment I'm listening to a lot of chart pop thanks to my commute, but I still enjoy many other types of music. And I'm always looking for suggestions.
Food: Fairly open-minded. If you can tell me why it's good, I'll eat it.
