My self-summary
I would rather get up early for a day or weekend trip than stay out late. I'm a fairly early riser; I enjoy the calm and stillness of the early morning. I'm looking for a partner to explore with, laugh with and share time together. Marriage and kids are not a priority for me. I prefer to enjoy the present and let life decide the future.

I take care of myself holistically and value natural health over drugs/medicine. Nutrition and exercise are forefront in my life. I work hard to make healthy choices. This is very important to me and I want to be with someone who shares this practice.

I am happy and love my family, who I see often. My siblings and I are close and talk at least once a week. My family is part of who I am, and staying in contact with both my immediate and extended family gives me joy. Sometimes this means traveling to see them in other states.

I often schedule things in advance so I have something on my calendar to look forward to when life gets stressful. I do this in my dating life, as well as for weekend trips to visit friends, massages and dinners out.
What I’m doing with my life
I have been a teacher for 16 years, currently out of the classroom and into an office as the go to person when a student needs extra help. While I enjoy my job very much and put much pride into my work, I value my time away from work. I make an effort to reach out to friends and schedule time with them. I have close ties with good friends to show for it.

I am always evaluating myself, in a good way, and making changes in my life to move forward and create a healthier/happier existence. Sometimes that means changing my workouts, creating more time with friends, spending time alone or getting a massage. It can also mean spending a day cooking to stock my fridge/freezer with healthy choices for the days I come home exhausted, contacting friends to schedule a date out, or talking with my mentor about my career.
