My self-summary
I work as an actuary. But in reality, that means for the good part of the year I actively stare into the white space of actuarial study manuals as I convince myself that this is studying. So someone who is supportive or in grad school is a plus and we can spend our weekends at the library (that's a joke, but I'm not opposed). I will be a little cliche here, but I am looking for my best friend on two legs. I'm looking to share and create memories.

I am very goal-oriented. I view this as a weakness because if I am not actively pursuing some sort of objective I get uneasy. However, completely contrary to that I am the most laid back individual you will ever meet and you can hold me to that. I like going to the movies and just enjoying the company I'm with. A day spent at a museum finished off with a good dinner out (or in) is perfect. Maybe a board game or card game. I'm pretty good with scrabble, and would have competed in the 2007 world scrabble championships if it weren't for breaking my pinky finger. Other than that I'm always up for a good adventure; nay, a good adventure is always up for me.
What I’m doing with my life
Studying. Working. Trying to sleep. Trivia. Having a blast. I'm an actuary (currently taking exams) by trade.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh.

Being punctual.

The first things people usually notice about me
That I tell inappropriate, yet true jokes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Not much of a reader but my goal is to read a few chapters each night.... I wish I read more. My favorite books that I have read are The Catcher in the Rye, Anthem, Bright Shiny Morning, I am sure there are more. Recommendations please!

Movies: Almost anything, but I rarely watch the same movie twice. The Departed, Blood Diamond, Shutter Island.. I'm beginning to see a pattern here.

Shows: Why bother? Tv shows rarely make it past a season or two. But I can't get enough of Blacklist. Edit: I have had enough of the Blacklist, sadly.

Shows: Les Miserables. (Christmas songs and Les Mis soundtrack are my go to for shower singing)

Music: Just a sampling: Nirvana, Foo Fighters, STP, Alice In Chains, Oleander, Our Lady Peace, Shinedown. I think that gives you a feel. Christina Perri, She & Him, and tSwift. Skylar Grey.

Food: Pizza, Burrito, Chicken Parm. Not into seafood except shrimp.
The six things I could never do without
1. witty jokes whether appropriate or not
2. the ability to be compassionate
3. friendship
4. the "little things" in life
5. creativity-all forms: music, art, invention, perspective
6. time-travel by plane or car
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why I can type without looking at the keyboard, but if there is an object in front of the keyboard then I am completely lost
On a typical Friday night I am
Practicing headstands (without the help from the wall) so that I can one day do a handstand. We all need to have goals in life.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
After getting a hot cup off coffee I immediately bring it to my mouth only to realize it is too hot but I continue and pretend to take a sip anyway
You should message me if
You are laid back but have an internal motivation like no other. You don't generally sleep in late, emphasis on generally. You'd rather be out doing something than just watching tv, but appreciate a good binge--I'm talking tv but alcohol could work in this sentence too. You have a strong sense of independence but understand the values of togetherness and compromise.
