i'm originally from Aiea, Hawai'i but have lived in or around portland for a while now.
i wear a lot of black. If one had to put me in a box, the term "semi-goth" would likely fit, though i doubt i'll ever look good in fishnet shirts. People often find me pretty intimidating at first but the reality is that i'm painfully shy and normally just sit in my corner of the world, gazing from afar.
i have spent most of my life as either fully vegetarian or pollo-pescitarian. i'm not fully vegetarian right now for reasons i won't discuss, but i hope to return to vegetarianism soon. And no, it doesn't bug me if you eat meat.
i'm a gamer and a nerd with hardcore techno-lust. i'll play anything from The Legend of Zelda to Modern Warfare 2. I play a LOT of Street Fighter. My original NES still works.
i've been trying to play guitar and write music for 17 years, and i love doing it as it makes me believe for half a second that i'm artistic. This doesn't mean i'm any good at it, just that i've been doing it for a LONG time.
Taking the music thing semi seriously. i own a ton of gear and i kinda want to use it.
Had a pretty solid spring semester, and produced a documentary while doing it. i'm really excited about the film, and we're shopping it around to places to see if we can get financial backing to do a revision for wide theater release.
UPDATE: as of June, the hair is now blue/black.
a few years ago, when walking in the rain to meet a friend, that friend told me that i looked like Samara from The Ring, only mutated with the Hulk. i lol'd.
Somehow i went from being someone who hated "lol" to someone who actually uses it. damn my hypocrisy.

UPDATE: Yeah, scratch the above. D&D game died months ago, and i don't use my PS3 much at all anymore. Mostly homework, netflix, or 360 gaming. Still trying to organize a game of Munchkin or something.
I used to be found at the industrial/goth nights at either Embers on Wednesdays and Hive on sundays back some time ago, and i may do so again. I can also hit Ground Kontrol on Last Wednesday.
UPDATE: I go to Hive on sundays when i can.
I am ashamed to admit i own 3 cars, though only 1 drives right now while the other 2 are made into a single working unit. Yay for classic mustangs.
I mod original xbox systems to play zillions of classic games.
I loved Lexx.
okay, jokes aside, here's the deal:
I'm horrible at first contact cause i'm never sure what to say. i'd also consider myself socially awkward, but not to the level of stupidity. I am, however, stupidly shy and near creeper like about it. I may find you incredibly interesting or attractive, but it could take me months to say anything to you at all. Try not to hold that against me too much.
I'm very lefty and atheist with interests in nerdy things like high fantasy/D&D, video games, and computer technology.
i'd really like to find someone who shares a lot of these interests, especially on the geek/nerd side (games and movies) or on the musical side (darkwave, synthpop, dreampop, gothic, industrial, symphonic metal).
Just a moment for a pet peeve. If someone takes a moment to write to you, it would be super awesome if you could just acknowledge that contact attempt and respond, even if it is to say you are not interested. So many people say that they normally respond and it takes them awhile, so many others just flat out don't respond. we're not made of glass, ladies. if we don't hold your interest, just let us know and we can easily move on, removing you from favorite lists and the like.
