My self-summary
I'm a literary nerd. Can you say, "English Major?" I've also got a bizarrely diverse range of interests: Books by Ralph Waldo Emerson are on my bookshelf next to the original James Bond stories, next to Torchwood DVDs. Usually what this means is that I know a lot of stuff about seemingly random things, and really enjoy learning pretty much anything. Feel free to ask me questions. Although, there will probably some smart-assery in my answers, along with wit and sarcasm. ("Smart-assery" is now a word in my book. Shakespeare made up words, so I can too, even though I'm not half as cool as Shakespeare and don't look as good in wigs and tights.) Oh, and I'm Buddhist and really, really tall. The weather up here is JUST FINE, thanks for not asking.

I have also been told that I should add: I am totally not a serial killer! Bonus! :-D Apparently psychotic people actually answer their questions truthfully. I'm not psychotic enough to do that. I am sane enough to lie about being psychotic. (Also bonus?)

Two more literary things:
Long Live the Oxford Comma! (Yeah, I said it.)

Also, "lol" is not punctuation. If it is the only punctuation you know and/or use, then I don't think we can't be friends. I'm very sorry. (....very sorry you can't punctuate.) Also also, I gotta admit, a complete lack of capitalization kinda irritates me.
What I’m doing with my life
Working ridiculous hours that don't allow me to have a convenient social life. If you want to get together on one of my days off or pretty much any day for lunch, I will do my best to make time for you because you're probably pretty awesome and I like making new friends.
I’m really good at
Apparently, I'm really good at being a smart-ass. I'm great at being optimistic when things are going the wrong direction and I'm great at being cynical when things are on the up and up. I'm also pretty good at anything relating to the English language. (You know, reading, writing, proofreading, and so on.)

And listening. I'm good at listening, which is awesome, since I like doing it so much.
The first things people usually notice about me
How incredibly tall I am. (6'7") Next is how deep my voice is. (There's no good measure for that, so we'll just say "deep baritone" even though I don't sing).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anything by Isaac Asimov, Samuel Delaney, Chuck Palahniuk, David Gerrold, and Ralph Waldo Emerson. (But I'll read almost anything; I'm quite the voracious reader.) If you want to talk about Dhalgren or Babel 17, then we will talk FOR HOURS.

Movies: No real "favorites", but here's a few from my media shelf: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Hunt For Red October, Fight Club, 12 Monkeys, Army of Darkness, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Danger Mouse (it's a prized piece of my childhood!)

Music: Anything really, although I'm not much into country or hard-core ghetto rap. If you really want specifics, then currently on my playlist are: Tenacious D, Lisa Loeb, Beck, Enigma's early stuff, and Weird Al Yankovic. Oh, and film scores, I do listen to a lot of film scores.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All kinds of things. (I never stop thinking, so I tend to touch on a lot of subjects.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Working. Boo! (Darn my non-9-to-5 work-day! Darn it, I say, Darn!)

But when I get out of work (at 11PM or so), I spend the rest of the night cursing the quiet town I live in, that has nothing to do at midnight on Fridays!
You should message me if
You are interested in learning more about me, or sharing something interesting with me. I love learning new things and pondering new ideas. Blow my mind. I dare you. (Conspiracy theories need not apply).

Or if you want some smart-assery.
