My self-summary
I read a lot. I try to better understand the world around me. I don't travel half as much as I would wish. I really like learning new languages. Climbing, swimming and running are some of my favorites ways to kill time when I'm not working. Books, music and tv help me think. I can never have enough friends, and people often surprise me in their depth of knowledge and character. I try to be a better person than I was yesterday. Especially, I want to cook better, work smarter and be more understanding of other people.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now? Learning, getting ready to make my contribution to this beautiful and almost completely dysfunctional world (I'm not sure a dissertation counts)

I spend a lot of time thinking about
how to do good social science, what the future will be like, the environment, how cool space is and how much I want to go to there, what other people are thinking
On a typical Friday night I am
