My self-summary

Born and raised in Canada, moved here from California a couple years ago. I've lived in five different countries so far and plan to add more to that list. I love to travel, try new things, and get to know new people.

Staying active is important to me – I I bike when I can, go for daily runs with Julian (my dog). I try to carve out time each day to cultivate other hobbies as well.

If you're interested in exploring new sides of life, I'm your guy. Excuse the brevity, but I really believe if you want to get to know me, you'll have to do that in person.
What I’m doing with my life
Until recently I was a middle and high school teacher, but I'm not two year in to my PhD in Education.

I'm big on self-improvement, and I don't like settling. I'm determined to do something purposeful each day, such as read, practice guitar, work out, etc. I really take to heart the idea that the only person you should strive to be better than is the person you were yesterday.
I’m really good at
learning languages
getting too excited about board games
picking up new things
The first things people usually notice about me
My dog; gets like 10 compliments a day. I am choosing to believe that I inherit some of his cuteness by association.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I really enjoy fantasy literature. Currently reading "the Left Hand of Darkness", but favourite books include Harry Potter series, the Mists of Avalon, the Inheritance series, the Alchemist, Timeline, the Little Prince, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, anything by Roald Dahl.

I don't watch much T.V, but I like Star Trek (the various tv series), and am slowly working my way through Continuum right now. I'm also on the Game of Thrones bandwagon, because, well, it's motherfucking Game of Thrones.

Italian and Indian food are my personal favourites. I'm always down for some sushi as well. When I'm in California, Mexican food takes the cake. However I'm eating mostly Paleo so many of those things I don't eat too often. But I think about how delicious they are while I eat less delicious things like lettuce.
