My self-summary
I'm Meg. I'm a clerk and a thinker. That actually sums things up nicely. I'm a devout theist, but not a christian, which gets me into lots of philosophical debates with everyone. I'm also an information junkie that doesn't like to remember the dark days before Google and Reddit. I enjoy listening to vinyl, smoking hookah, and storytelling.
What I’m doing with my life
Moved to the Murfreesboro area a little over a year ago. Started a new job, made a friend or two, waiting for life to deal me a good hand. Outside of work I play video games, read, or hang out with friends.
I’m really good at
Talking to people. I'm an avid tarot reader and spiritual counselor of sorts. I've got a way of communicating with people that leaves them very satisfied.
The first things people usually notice about me
Honestly? Nothing. I try to blend in these days. But, I do have good hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
books: anything by Stephen King (Roland is my hero), Mists of Avalon, lots of non-fiction, Douglas Adams, Tom Robbins, Elie Weisel, Hawthorne, Lovecraft, Poe.

movies: Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn version), Star Wars, Across the Universe, any kind of musical, comedy, or zombie movie.

tv: Sherlock, Walking Dead, Daily Show, Top Gear, Colbert, Family Guy, C.S.I. (not Miami), Firefly (R.I.P.), Criminal Minds, anything with Anderson Cooper in a tight black t-shirt.

music: Ani Difranco, Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Dylan, the Chemical Bros, The Cure, Fugazi, The Distillers, PJ Harvey, Modest Mouse, CCR, Fiona Apple, Otis Redding, Diana Krall, Social Distortion, Sublime, Rilo Kiley, Common, Gorillaz, Phoenix, Regina Spektor, Heart, Ramones.

food: I'm a carnivore. I love to try new dream date would be with Anthony Bourdain in some remote location having an exotic dinner of food I've never heard of.
The six things I could never do without
My dog, my friends, a car (or another route of escape), music, a book, and an ink pen.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
why. Occasionally it's nice to drop everything and analyze my surroundings. I also spend time thinking about the folks I left behind when I moved. The gap between good friends grows so wide when you put distance in the way.
On a typical Friday night I am
Most likely not at a party. My scene is more books and video game related. I like to relax at someone's house and chat, play games, or listen to music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've recently been dealing with a dear friend's suicide, and it has made me somewhat reluctant in relationships. Attachment is scary for me, but I'm not unwilling to try.
You should message me if
you'd like a good debate, a new friend, or just someone to talk to. I can be a bit distant at times, so if I don't respond, don't take it as rejection.
