Writers--Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Conrad, Montaigne, Twain, Orwell, Hemingway. Plato, Aristotle, Nietszche, Locke, Rousseau, de Tocqueville, Mill, Durkheim... Too many to name.

Composers & Musicians--Bach, Chopin, Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Ravel, Brubeck, Coltrane, Hancock, Monk, Davis, Rolling Stones, Police, U2, Dave Matthews, and the list goes on and on...

Films--Pulp Fiction, Citizen Kane, Cinema Paradiso, Blade Runner, Godfather (I & II), Memento, Rashomon, La Dolce Vita, Casablanca...

TV shows--The Daily Show, Family Guy, GPS with Fareed Zakaria, NFL and soccer (Premiership, Seria A) games.

Cuisine--All kinds of food. I think only stinky tofu and durian are off the list.
