My self-summary
Dreams in Technicolor; speaks to her future selves without expectation of response; loves fiercely without regret; is afraid of being used or forgotten by those she cares for most.

Prefers letter writing to email; high tea to happy hour; imported beer to girlie drinks; purple to black, but black to white; leather to satin; vulnerability to strength; brutal honesty to the polite lie; the risk of individuality to the safety of conformity.

Loathes long walks on the beach, bubble baths, making it a Blockbuster night, working hard and playing harder and other inane cliches that abound on this website. C'mon people -- just rip off the band aid and let your inner geek shine through.

I am artsy fartsy, sarcastic, and peachy keen
What I’m doing with my life
I just got my Masters Degree in Education and will soon be responsible for shaping (or corrupting) young minds.

Like most so-called "adults", I'm still trying to figure it all out :-)
I’m really good at
giving advice, making you laugh in spite of yourself, being clumsy (see previous), singing along to really bad 80's music at the top of my lungs, appreciating people's quirks, being snarky yet optimistic at heart, discussing Italian literature, baking yummy desserts, procrastinating.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height or my smile maybe. You tell me...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books...there are too many! I was a literature major in college (emphasis in Italian and South Asian Literature), so this question is a little unfair. I love Christopher Moore's humor, his books are always a pick-me-up.

Movies: My taste in movies is generally pretty varied...anything from Buster Keaton to Bella Lugosi to Beetlejuice. I'm random like that :-)

Cuisines: Italian, Indian, Japanese, Mexican, Thai...I like trying new things, but usually end up sticking to my old favorites. I LOVE food and like baking for friends and family.
The six things I could never do without
Coffee. The stronger the better. I lived in Italy for a year and am now a bit spoiled in that respect.

Cute, geeky guys with glasses.

A support network (family and friends help keep me grounded).

A creative outlet--my journal, sketch pad, or digital camera normally do the trick.

Adventure-whether it be world travel or trying new things from the comfort of my own back yard.

Passion-For some thing, some one, or some place. It reminds me that I'm alive and pushes me to make the most of what I've been given.

Chocolate. All kinds, but especially dark chocolate.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The past, my creative endeavors, plans for the future, places I want to travel, books I would love to read if I had the time, my family and friends--there always seems to be some sort of mini drama going on.
On a typical Friday night I am
Making out with my boyfriend...that hasn't gotten old yet!

Cooking up something yummy for dinner

Kicking ass and taking names
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not sure whether I'm ennamoured most with being in love, or just the idea of being in Love.
You should message me if
You have not yet succumbed to the superficiality of this fair city. I love introducing recent imports to the less conventional wonders of LA.
You have 3 nipples
You know the secret location of the best taco stand (or truck) in LA and are willing to divulge it to me...have awesome taco, will travel (within reason)
