My self-summary
Creative type with an appreciation for beauty in all things… searching for my muse.
I'm smart, funny, and curious… I notice details. Looking to meet someone who can make me smile and laugh and think.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm primarily focused on rediscovering and cultivating my artistic self, so my main pursuit right now is designing and building custom furniture with an artistic slant. I consider the pieces utilitarian art. Basically I'm trying to make delightfully weird and wonderful objects… and hopefully succeeding. Would love to meet someone with an interest in art, design and the craft of "making".
I’m really good at
Visualizing ideas… making things… repurposing found items… whipping up a meal from random pantry ingredients.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
off the top of my head…

movies: American Beauty, Run Lola Run, Paris Texas, Groundhog Day, Once, Man On Wire, Fargo, Sideways, My Cousin Vinny, Crumb

books: Steven Naifeh's Jackson Pollock biography, Neil Young's biography Shakey, lots of art books
not much fiction lately… favorites are Irving's The World According to Garp and A Prayer For Owen Meany, Faulks' Birdsong, Confederacy of Dunces, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, King's Different Seasons

television: Daily Show, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey, Shameless, Mad Men, Chopped

bands/musicians: Neil Young, The Band, The Clash, Radiohead, Townes Van Zant, Lucinda Williams and Clapton's "love letter" to Pattie Boyd

people that make me smile: David Sedaris, Louis CK, Bill Murray… other smart, funny people

food: almost anything… spicy, ethnic, diverse… curry please

other stuff: Triumph Motorcycles, lazy Sundays, anything weird and wonderful (joyfully weird, not uncomfortably weird)
The six things I could never do without
My senses and reading glasses
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How so many people are able to always avoid eating in large chain restaurants. (I typed this in a Wendy's)
On a typical Friday night I am
Alphabetizing the pantry or darning my socks.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I made my own season pass for the community pool when I was a kid.

I've never darned a sock.
You should message me if
you're literate, fun and funny.

you're motivated, intelligent, curious and adventurous.

there's a streak of good-natured feistiness running through you.
