Life is full of contradictions and embracing the duality of it, is part of the fun of living.
On occasion, I can be serious, play a fool, chill at home or by the pool with a glass of sangria and a good book or even give into my wanderlust.
In the spirit of full disclosure, I must admit that I can be quite demanding and very used to getting my own way in my job. However in the same spirit, I need to clarify this bit, my job involves a fair bit of relationship management and persuasion (This is the bit about getting my own way) but I am quite the opposite in my personal life.
As a result of this dichotomy, I am quite competitive in nature and can come across as a strong-willed individual as well as a real sweetheart that mums would love.
My friends tell me that I am not the average Asian guy and I generally think that "Nothing worth having or doing, ever comes easy.
On the flip side of the coin, I am in my 30s, easy on the eyes, smart, quietly confident in my own abilities, currently enjoying a successful but demanding career, generally good fun to have around, dependable to a fault as well as willing to go the extra mile to help others, a wicked wit with an adventurous spirit and a healthy dose of old fashioned values when it comes to dating.
Pardon me, if you are a feminist, but l like having the liberty being able to be romantic, seating a lady, opening doors and the occasional romantic gesture.
Educated and returned from working abroad, I am into outdoor activities, like cycling, dragonboating and swimming. I also spend my time volunteering at Family Service Centres, taking photographs with my Canon DSLR and playing pool.
Love Animals and currently have a dog whom I am training as a show dog whom fancies herself as Harry Houdini's apprentice. I sometimes find her out of her pen. For the life of me, I can't imagine how she does this.
I enjoy cooking, researching and trying out new recipes. I used to play the guitar and trying to pick it again, it has been many years. my music tastes run towards Classical Music, Blues, Soul, Jazz, 50s, 80s, Acoustic, Hip Hop, or R & B.
I'm at home outdoors as well as indoors, enjoy walks at night, colonial buildings, Anime, Marvel, DC and RC vehicles. Pick a topic, book or movie and you will be able to find ept conversation. I am looking to expand my group of friends and Clique. I would love to be able to meet someone to share activities with.
Being an imperfectly perfect person whom is a Pluviophile, I continually take stock of my life and priorities.
I am always looking for ways to streamline my life, build inner strength, how to better the lives of the people I love and how to pursue sustainable happiness in the form of excellence rather than perfection. (i.e. Doing things once and right the first time so that I don't have to come back to it.)
I found this on someone's profile and it sums up perfectly how I feel.
"I do not seek perfection. I simply seek to remember who and what I am every day. . . Our lives are the story of how we remember.
It is the dance that was woven into the fabric of our being from the beginning.
The presence of the Great Mystery is always with us. I only have to turn my face toward it, and it is there, as a voice beneath the sound of the pale grey waves crashing on the shore, as a touch of the unseen on the back of my neck that makes me pause and turn as I cut carrots on my kitchen counter, as a kiss that lingers as I come up out of dreams in the mist of dark mornings." - Oriah Mountain Dreamer".
"An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life:
A fight is going on inside me, he said to the boy. It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too.
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather,Which wolf will win?
The old Cherokee simply replied, The one you feed."
My favourite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
I also make a mean pitcher of Sangria. I have also recently taken up baking.
I'm Peranakan Chinese and my friends call me, Panda.
After Earth (2013) - “Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity. Do not misunderstand me, danger is very real, but fear is a choice. We are all telling ourselves a story and that day mine changed.”
The Pursuit of Happyness (2006) - “Hey. Don’t ever let somebody tell you… You can’t do something. Not even me. All right? You got a dream… You gotta protect it. People can’t do somethin’ themselves, they wanna tell you you can’t do it. If you want somethin’, go get it. Period.”
The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000) - “Yep… Inside each and every one of us is one true authentic swing… Somethin’ we was born with… Somethin’ that’s ours and ours alone… Somethin’ that can’t be taught to ya or learned… Somethin’ that got to be remembered… Over time the world can, rob us of that swing… It get buried inside us under all our wouldas and couldas and shouldas… Some folk even forget what their swing was like…”
Six Degrees of Separation (1993) - “Every moment in life is a learning experience. Or what good is it, right?”

Expanding on the above, pondering how to increase my assets, what I can improve on, whether I have spent my week in a productive fashion and people whom I have interacted with.
Where to go for my next trip overseas and which is my next community project so that I can "give" back to the community. I believe that it humanises you and puts you back in touch with people instead of only being exposed to the "rat race".
Ultimately, I hope to be able to leave my mark on society and contribute something of value to it.
Seriously, if you enjoy old school dates and having someone take care of you. Say Hi, if you come across my profile, we might become good friends.
For friends , I would love to connect with intelligent and nice people.
For women, I appreciate smart, intelligent, sensible, independent and down-to-earth women whom are feminine. I think ladies with "ink" are sexy because in general most of them ooze confidence. It is very attractive.
For people in general, I value those whom have gone through trials in life, a baptism of fire so to speak and yet resilient enough to rebuild and create a brighter future.
I am also looking for mates to travel, hang out, catch movies, play board games like taboo and cranium etc....
