My self-summary
I'm an optimistic honest easy going man looking for a smart, quirky generous soul.

I believe in altruistic reciprocity. Relationships should be a generosity competition. We do it to make our partner feel special and that is reason enough.

I have been married and I have had a few long-term relationships in my life. I have no debts or addictions and frankly, I'm just plain adorable.

I am not one of those dudes who write, "Hi!", disappears or play games. With that in mind, feel free to contact me if you are local and okay with shorter men.
What I’m doing with my life
I hope you like dogs. My traveling companion is a beautiful beagle / yorkie mix. She is really sweet and full of energy. I hope you do not own a squirrel as a pet. We would not be a good match.

With my free time, I like to cook. For years I was pathetic and decided last year to make a greater effort to learn to cook. After watching countless America's Test Kitchen shows and subscribing to Blue Apron, I think I'm a decent cook.

I own a collectibles store 26 years and counting. You never know what will walk in everyday and that is what makes it fun! I do work a bit too much but as a boss, I am able to take time off. I am itching to try new things.

I practice mindfulness. I do my darndest to live in the present and be self-aware. I am always trying to learn new things and improve. I try to eat healthy and take good care of myself.

I like to go to new restaurants, go to movies, museums. I would like to travel more. Iceland is on my list.

I am a lefty both literally and politically. I am kind of obsessed with this election. If you support Donald, I think, no wait, I'm sure, we will not be a good match.
I’m really good at
Being a good host.

I am not one of those distant types who bottles things up and need lots of space. I am good at sharing, listening, asking questions and dealing with issues.

Looking for the silver lining.
