My self-summary
I'm going to try to define myself implicitly and let everyone draw their own conclusions.

I love the elegance and purity of Math and the Technological pursuits. I love the abstract and the base, the superspecialised and the universally applicable. I love words that define a concept in one term. I love the idea and promise of memetics. I love Singing, with songs constantly going through my head I often don't hesitate to let them out. I love links and associations between thoughts. I love Pop Culture and High Culture, the uncultured, and yoghurt is tasty, especially when frozen. I dream big and hate that 95% of what flies through my brain never sees tangibility. I'm not afraid to use Love and Hate and take them back when I no longer mean them. I'm a child at heart and an old soul. I like Iconics and Italics and caps lock is cruise control for awesome. I hate beating a dead horse and don't like to feel like I've lost. I have a short memory for slights but a long one for faces. I love playing the fool and getting down to business. I love the axiomatic and the ornate, the cliché and the original. I'm overly critical, especially of myself. I shift between strict veganism and not caring at all. I like suits and ties and tattoos and piercings.

Looking back at this, I've done a horrible job, but don't see how I could have done better. I'm a rolling boulder of a 1000 faces traveling inexorably towards the end of the y axis, and I'm looking for people to roll along with me.
What I’m doing with my life
I work fulltime but when I'm bored (harhar) I like to take a course here and there to further my education.

I'm in the process of:
- working and blogging about getting back into shape, going Paleo, and daily meditation practice.
- practicing Guitar
- learning German
- writing a novel

I am also involved with some tech startups in town, and also run my own consulting company. Used to consult fulltime, but then one of my clients put a ring on it.
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
I sing. A lot, mostly just humming or a couple of bars of whatever is going through my head.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love music, all kinds of music, all the time. Love to read and I'm not too picky, though I really enjoyed the books by Jasper Fforde, as well as Douglas Adams, and I enjoyed the Honor Harrington series by David Weber. Oh, and everything Cory Doctorow and William Gibson have ever written. The three hardcopy books I always have, though, are my 2nd edition of Erewhon by Samuel Butler, a copy of the Diamond Sutra, and a copy of Thoreau's Walden. Everything else is slowly becoming digital.
The six things I could never do without
Music
Reason
Friends
My Family
A Computer
The Internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
why things are the way they are, what make things work the way they do. I'm also interested in minimalism and futurism - thinking about how to reduce my footprint, and use technology to improve and streamline how we live.
On a typical Friday night I am
working on one of my projects, or out with friends for a drink or two.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
A lot of my relationships have ended because I'm very very busy. But I don't know what to give up, and sometimes I wonder if my life is too full for a relationship or that I just haven't met the right person and if I did that wouldn't be an issue.
You should message me if
you live on the border of geeky, classy, and adventurous.
