My self-summary
I'm looking to have you become my friend first then we can go from there. If you can make me laugh right along with you, you've earned my vote! Humor is very important and I share that as much as possible. Sometimes I can be a bit of a smartass by making a little innuendo, or by making a little comment just to get you to smile. And yes, I can poke fun at myself as well.
I tend to acquire the finer things in life. Although I'm not a "high maintenance" type of person, I do like to have a few nice things. I know that didn't come out right, but I have no idea of how to describe it. We'll talk about that.
I had a small wine collection not long ago, but decided to give most of it away to friends, either just giving a bottle or two, or by sharing the same bottles that were gifts. Friends appreciate that...good times and great wine! **UPDATE**I've recently moved to Newport News from Indiana. I don't know anyone in this area that would like to, but I love to kayak or mountain bike or even take hikes. I love being outdoors! I would like to have a partner (or group of friends) to go do those activities with.

In search of someone who shares interest in walking, kayaking, parasailing, hiking at the state parks, biking, camping out over the weekend, or staying in and having a great time over a good laugh or a movie or three. Not all of those, but it helps! Too diversified to name all activities, including some that are not even in the mainstream. Ask me about some of them!

I like taking road trips to other cities, or sometimes just go for a drive to no place in particular. Just drive until you've had enough, then use the GPS to get back home. It's a great way of discovering new places and activities you never knew existed.

Oh, just so you know... Yes I smoke, but not cigarettes. I enjoy a cherry cigar & my pipe, but the Cavendish Cherry & Dutch Apple flavors are my choice.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm new to this area, so taking it easy for a while. Life is an adventure so taking it head-on. Making the most out of what life has to offer, down to enjoying the simple things in life. Also setting personal goals, watching them pay off.
I'm also a bit of a "gadget geek". I love my electronics! I don't have a house full of them, just enough to keep in touch with the rest of the world.
I’m really good at
Making new friends, starting a conversation with a complete stranger, and having fun whenever possible. Also sticking to my word when I make promises. Unless I died or something similar, I keep my word!
The first things people usually notice about me
My dark blue eyes, then the way I talk. Complete strangers love to hear my voice, as some have even asked if I've worked in Radio broadcasting before.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
On Fire by Larry Brown, Life's Strategies by Dr. Phil are just a few of the last books I've read. I've heard a lot about John Grisham lately, so I'll definitely check those out.

I like alternative rock the most, but everything from Jazz to 80's bands (AC/DC, John Cougar Mellencamp, Bon Jovi, KISS, Firehouse...) will do too. Pretty much diversified...even classical.

I like Sci-Fi/Fantasy(The Matrix, Avatar, Star Trek, Underworld, The Lawnmower Man, LOTR) action films (Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, 007 Series, Arnold Schwartz...I'm not gonna even try to spell that one), sit/coms, a good comedy, and sometimes a drama or documentary. Yes, even a romantic comedy! "Chick Flicks"..The Lakehouse, What Women Want, The Truth About Cats & Dogs to name a few! Yeah, I admit it...I'm a bit of a "mushball" when it comes to that. Hey, it's a good thing, right?

I like a variety of foods; Italian, Chinese and Cantonese are my favorite, Mexican, Japanese Steak Houses, all types of seafood, and I DO stay away from fast food as much as possible. That's the most un-healthy food on the planet! I cook at home 99% of the time, but enjoy a 4 star restaurant when the occasion calls for it.
Six things I could never do without
My sense of humor
"Road trips with GPS"
My Galaxy Note 3
My car (without it, option #2 wouldn't happen)
Never going back to living paycheck to paycheck again
My motorcycle endorsement
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I thought about moving out of Indiana for a very long time. Over the Summer of 2012, I made that dream a reality. I now live on the East coast for all the right reasons.
On a typical Friday night I am
Now that I live in a new area that I'm familiar with, every day activities are different. I don't wait for weekends to have a good time. In the Summer, I take long walks, bike ride, rollerblading, going horseback riding again...anything outdoors I'll do. Weekends are hardly ever the same for me. But when it's cold out, I still enjoy winter skating, sledding, snowball fights...the possibilities are endless.

I've been with for a while, so there's always something (& people to meet with) to do that involves adrenaline!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I may grow old, but I'll never grow up!

Yeah, yeah, I know...typical man. BUT...I simply refuse to let life pass me by whilst sitting around & complaining about it.
You should message me if
Although looks are a natural first attraction, I seek someone with character and intelligence first. Someone who is fun spirited and not afraid to be playful on occasion, will work together at making our relationship stronger with open and honest communication, and freely discussing important family issues at home. Those carry much more meaning to me than just looks alone. It's always what's on the inside that counts, so what's on the outside is just a bonus. So if you're a woman that (for example) loves to sit together, watch a movie and snack on popcorn while curled up together under a blanket when it's cold outside, that's who I seek! Yes, SOME men are genuine..hard to believe! You never know until you try.
