I'm also a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas - being involved in molding a young man is very fulfilling and gives me a chance to give back.
Recently spent time at Chorpus in the ocean and wonder why I don't do it more often; sun, ocean, sand, nature, had a great time!
I really love South Texas and have a career in software that has many opportunities so I see myself being here for a long time. I also travel to L.A. and Toronto as often as I can to spend time with family.
But also connecting with people and being there when they need a hand. Listening...listening to someone is very important, not just hearing them.
Taking feedback from others; changing aspects of how I live my life when they no longer suite what I'm seeking. Listening to other's points of view is something I also try to do because it's sometimes difficult to see things in yourself.
Music: Tim McMorris (great song/video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIW5QU2lGe8) and the like, alternative, classic rock...
Food: love all kinds of food, Mexican, middle-eastern, Asian, in addition to a traditional cheeseburger!

...or, if you're looking to add new people and friends in your life.
Taking a page out of another user's book and giving credit to @TejasTornado:
"I don't believe empty, out stretched hands are an offer of intimacy. I don't believe in voids or missing pieces. Life has fault lines and chasms, but they're for exploring not filling. I'm not interested in serving as white noise for someone who fears the sound of their own thoughts. I want to meet people who at least dabble in adulthood and active evolution. "
And nothing to do with any of this but a really cool website:
