My self-summary
A little about me: I treat others as I would like to be treated. I would rather someone break-up with me than cheat on me. I hate when people flake. I go out of my way to help friends. I think it's a sin to waste a beautiful day. I don't care what color your eyes are, but rather I care that you have a sweet smile and great teeth (and nice lips don't hurt). I love my alone time and think it's vital to maintain sanity.

A little about what I'm looking for: I find honesty to be the most important quality in a man. Without it there's no trust and without trust you have nothing. I appreciate those who have a good relationship with their family and who one day would like to have a family of their own. I know men are groomed to be tough, but sometimes the toughest thing you can do is allow yourself to be vulnerable. It's hard I know, but sometimes you just have to take that risk. You must be strong inside and out, and you must smile!! Show me those pearly whites :) And in case you don't know, scruffy is sexy ... love that 5 o'clock shadow!

I should also note I like men who are in shape and enjoy being outdoors. You should be able to handle yourself in most any situation! I'm the type of girl that baits my own hook, so you should too. If fires aren't your thing, I'll build it. I suppose I like a man's man. Someone who is self-sufficient and confident in their abilities, and commonsense is a must!

If you're a liar, cheater, manipulator ... I'll make it easy for ya ... I'm not interested.

Lastly, you must be able to take a joke! Recently, someone called me a "smartass" and I'd say that's pretty accurate. So, if you don't like females who call it like they see it, are playful and sarcastic, then I'm probably not your type.
What I’m doing with my life
Drilling it into my family's head that I'm not moving back to Texas tomorrow, next week, next year or probably even the year after that! Got to love 'em for trying though!
I’m really good at
Being handy! I am pretty darn self-sufficient if I say so myself. If I don't know how to do something I am more likely to google or YouTube it before asking for help.

I did however recently bite off more than I can chew -- I acquired some antique fans that didn't work and figured "eh, how hard can this be" -- turns out it's mildly difficult. Anyone know how to fix a fan from the 30s??
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes and/or my smile. Some say they can hear the Texas in me too (y'all is most definitely a part of my vocabulary).
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:
- Pickles
- Sunshine
- Lip Gloss
- Water
- Phone
- a daily shot of ACV+OJ
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My family. I love them and miss them tons. Holidays away from those crazy people are always tough. Oh and my best friend - since she left me here and went back to GA life just isn't the same. Love that girl to pieces.
On a typical Friday night I am
a) enjoying some wine and HBO
b) babysitting to give my friends a break (date nights are very important)
c) dancing the night away
d) barhopping in old town
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Why don't we skip this one ... just tell me what you'd like to know.
You should message me if
you ...
- are honest
- live near Alexandria
- can make light of stressful situations
- love being on/in the water
- are willing to give up the AC for outdoor activities
- can teach me something (example: how to golf)
- enjoy beer and wine, and tasting new ones
- can't pass up a good dive bar
- have the "cojones" to get out on the dance floor
