My self-summary
Tall, hyperactive at times, but contently silent when engrossed in books. Playing and listening to loud music, yet appreciative of laid back dorks with guitars as well. I tend to start discussions merely to make my point repeatedly, which annoys the hell out of my classes and friends. I'm a teacher and loving every minute of it. I have a penchant for facial hair somehow, which makes me grow a moustache every now and then, resulting in people laughing at me. Music is my passion. If you consider music as "something nice on the background", you don't really need to bother seeking any kind of contact with me, I'll just pity you.

I am enthusiastic, chaotic, and nerdy
What I’m doing with my life
Getting to terms with the fact that I have a responsible job, countering that with playing the bass in a blackmetal band (Terzij de Horde. I can rant for an hour about the name, its implications, its connections to modern-day post-romanticism, why I dearly want people to understand the name without translating it to another language, why I'm so fucking proud of being part of this. You know. The works.). Bands tend to keep me busy anyways. I'm the singer of an emo band as well. Yes, emo proper. Like in the days of Rites of Spring, Rain, Kwakiutl Cannibal Society, Closure and the likes. You can listen to my bands on the oblique myspace sites. and And besides that, I tend to start/join projects with friends every twenty seconds. As I said, it's a passion.
I’m really good at
talking. No, really.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well... I'm usually the tallest guy around. Somehow, if you're a fluffy smiling head floating above the masses, you tend to be recognised.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Murakami, Mitchell, Danielewski, Vestdijk, Naipaul, Klein, Gray, Pratchett, Eggers, Safran Foer, Rorty, Le Clezio, Schopenhauer, Nabokov, Sloterdijk, Chabon. Stuff like that. I love books which make me doubt reality.

Movies: Either something really dumb (like those Harold and Kumar movies), childish (KungFu Panda was AWESOME) or something really artsy-fartsy. I love art-house movies like Amelie (well, who doesn't deep-down), and generally any movie that makes me doubt the world around me. Again.

Music: Don't get me started. I love hardcore/punk, screamo (not the mtvmo, with famous actors discovering mascara), metal (anything except for the NWOBHM crap), singer/songwriter, folk, grind. Any kind of music that conveys an emotion instead of a beat.

You can check for some musical stuff. Don't mind the name, I thought it was funny at the time. Sad, yet true.

Food: I'm a vegetarian with a penchant for Indian food.
Six things I could never do without
Books, Music, Friends, Insulin, Discussion, Sun.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
whether I'm going to be as I am now later on, when all kinds of obligations are pestering me. I don't know. Scares me every now and then.

Oh, and if you say something, I will IMMEDIATELY (try to) find a song which has that exact same line. Sad.
On a typical Friday night I am
playing or listening to loud music, hanging out at a friend's place or mine, being loud and obnoxious.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm balding. I think. I know.
You should message me if
you want to talk about weird music or why some people HAVE to scream in songs or what books you should read. I tend to ask you out for coffee rather quickly I guess, but that's because I do think that my ranting works better if I'm waving my arms around the entire time and do weird voices whilst talking. True story.

Don't message me for dates. This site actually works! Woohoo! lunapuella will hit you on the head repeatedly if you try to woo me. Be warned.
