I've been described a few ways by those close to me, including annoyingly optimistic and as a productivity fascist. Also as a great girl-friend.
My relationship priority is making a romantic connection. I want one aspect of that connection to be spending passive time together. I'd like to be comfortable enough with someone that we can hang out with no particular agenda, but focus on our own projects or activities and share the same space. We'd be close enough to chat, to share, to touch, but we wouldn't need to be actively focused on each other. And it would be satisfying for both of us.
That's only one aspect of the connection I'm looking for, but it's a dynamic I've been missing in my life.
I'm very touch-oriented, and I have a high need for touch and (non-sexual) physical affection. I'm sensitive to the difference between sensual and sexual touch and interaction. I have a strong preference for the former.
Some of my other time I spend tutoring math and physics. I'm also a knowledge consultant, focused on technical and logistical issues for individual projects. I'm passionate about math, science, technology, education, with a particular interest in where they intersect.
I have long-term goals that include a Ph.D. in Planetary Sciences, the private space industry, and personned missions to Mars.
I fancy myself a writer. Most of my writing lately has been blog posts, though I have been attending weekly poetry nights where I read occasionally. I do have some narrative projects that are not receiving the attention they once were.
It seems like others enjoy talking to me. Which is good because a meaningful conversation leaves me feeling satisfied like few other experiences do.
All of my lovers, past and present, have really enjoyed my massages. I'm great at rubbing shoulders, necks, backs, legs, feet. I guess it's not surprising that I excel at something so touch-centric.
I've been running for the past several years and I've developed a lot. I really love pushing myself farther than I think I can go. My pace is pretty respectable now. My preference is to run barefoot or in FiveFingers. I crossed the finish line of the Eugene Marathon 2014 and can now call myself a marathoner.
I feel comfortable now saying I'm good at ethical non-monogamy, polyamory, and relationship anarchy. These are all inter-related and incredibly important to me.
People also tend to notice my hair; it's thick with lots of body. And purple faded to pinks and teals.

As an aspiring teacher, I'm also focused on education, particularly secondary math and science education. There are a lot of problems with our public education system, and I want to be part of the solution, not just a part of the status quo.
My own projects occupy a lot of my mind. There are many short term projects--an interesting math problem, a blog post, a small research project. I have some larger projects too: I'm learning to build Android apps because I have a couple of ideas I'd like to create and I'm planning and writing for a couple of long-term blog projects.
Politics and social issues are always on my mind. I'm an outspoken feminist. If you don't check your privilege, I'll do it for you. I support the legalization of marijuana, marriage equality, giving people control over their own bodies, abolishing civil marriage, strict gun control.
I'm always thinking about when I'm going to get my next run in.
Music makes me cry. There are certain songs that just hit something inside me, such as: Defying Gravity (from Wicked), I'll Cover You Reprise (from Rent), Your Song (by Elton John). There are actually a bunch more, but those are the songs that do me in without fail.
I don't really like receiving sexual attention. I prefer to focus on my partners' pleasure. Mutual pleasure is nice too, of course.
Oh, I'm a sub looking for a fem-dom.
Also, feel free to ask me about anything on my profile or my answer to any of the questions.
Right now, I'm really eager to find a strong romantic connection. At the same time, I realize I'm not exactly sure what I mean by that. So, if you are looking for a relationship with pretty fluid boundaries and the opportunity to explore your needs and desires, get in touch. I'm just eager for a passionate, deep connection.
I'd also really like to meet a dominant woman to help me explore my submissive nature.
If any permutation of cuddling, conversing, getting you off, making food, going for a run, playing a tabletop game, or drinking beers sounds like a good way to spend time together, then we'll get along.
