Near our 25th birthdays, a friend and I decided that "now" was the peak moment of our lives. That belief has stayed with us both and still helps us both consider today our peak.
I prefer the upward struggle rather than the downward glide. Feelings that stem, due to struggle or thought, while connecting, loving, stretching, working, thinking, and learning make me feel most alive.
Some peeves of mine are leaf blowers, using water to "sweep" a sidewalk, and idling cars with idling people inside..and the AC on…just waiting....and other forms of personal planet disregard....come on people!
I'd never been able to ground my heels. Then, two years ago, I persistently and patiently stretched and tried....and after a few months I could. Now it's easy. I think this is metaphorical.
Reading books, seeing movies and other art, and watching live entertainment, especially those that provoke and absorb, are great ways to make today special. When they can be shared make them even better.
Staying fit helps my mental and physical well-being. Calorie burning may be my primary goal, but the challenges, camaraderie, and shower afterwards are good incentives too.
Connecting with others is a constant thought. Isn't this what it is all about? For instance, while visiting other places is fun and exciting, isn't whom we are with and the connection between most important? So much so that the place does not matter?
I need honesty, trust, and curiosity in any relationship. Women that attract me are fit, active....and like to laugh.
