My self-summary
I've scuba dived, skied extensively (throughout Europe, helicopter skied in Utah, been on the Ski Patrol), shot a trophy Antelope and caught a record striped bass (uhh...this one has a story best told in person). I grew up near the beach and so surfed (back when dinosaurs still roamed), body-surfed and boogie-boarded. I golf and do fairly well if I practice, played softball until I turned 40 (I was an infielder and losing a step or two moving to the ball and playing against 20-somethings), still enjoy stream and deep-water fishing and am training my Irish Setter pup for quail and pheasant hunting. I also enjoy cooking, gardening, reading, Summer Pops, plays, spending time with my kids and other family, dining at good restaurants (or even not-so-good if it's Italian), snuggling (and more), intelligent conversation, photography, road trips and writing.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm recently separated after a long marriage to a good woman, who helped raise 3 great kids, but not my soul-mate. Thus life is in a state of flux right now
I’m really good at
Skiing and articulation.
The first things people usually notice about me
Who knows? Women look at shoes, which is the last thing guys ever notice. You'll have to do your own assessment.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Right now I'm into action/thriller stuff. I've spent much time reading legal and philosophical material to where this escapism is kinda fun. "Good Will Hunting" is the last movie I really enjoyed...I don't go to the theater very often, but prefer psycho-dramas or action movies. For music, I pretty much like everything except Rap.
Six things I could never do without
Good food
Spirited and intelligent conversation
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Moving forward.
On a typical Friday night I am
Enjoying whatever I'm doing. I really have no set pattern and fly by the seat of my pants.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've lived a colorful life, so I'm not going there publicly. I'm sure my kids and friends would rat me out, though.
You should message me if
You can appreciate a quick wit, ever-present sense of humor, can and will communicate without emotions getting in the way and have passion in life.
