My self-summary
I'm laid back but not without opinions, can be shy but not for too long. I like inappropriate humour but i'm very caring and loving, I even have a soft spot for london pigeons. I can't lie.

Fan of anything kitsch. I love glitter, other trinkets and worthless tat. I can't pass a charity shop without going in.

My ideal place would be camping by a beach or woodland. I’ve done my fair share of travelling I love new adventures and a healthy dose of adrenaline.

I’m always up for a game of Scrabble, a night of mild debauchry on gin, the occasional club or tea & cake.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to learn the ukulele, dancing to the 5 rhythms, cycling from a to b, life drawing, running, knitting, taking afternoon naps, listening to 6music, wondering how I can get a dog, getting lost (on purpose), planning tattoos, trying not to turn on the tv, organising a book group, tenderly growing a minuscule amount of vegetables.

I have just changed career after 10 years working in addictions. I still spend a lot of time pondering our complex relationship with mind altering substances and compulsive behaviours but am now enjoying a new lease of life working in a job which I can leave behind at 5pm & get a bit more balance. Also trying to figure out how I can have my next career break...last time I went volunteering on organic farms around the uk. It was fun, except for the angry ram.
I’m really good at
Making a mess (& tidying it back up again), making canapes, ordering things by colour, growing things, making collages, camping.
The first things people usually notice about me
Some might find me borderline attractive from afar - bonus points if you know the song without googling
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books – A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole is my all time favourite. It used to be Nights at the Circus by Angela Carter. Animal Farm by George Orwell - Boxer the horse breaks my heart. Irvine Welsh never fails to amuse me. Plus lots more.

Movies – I love Dogville. Hitchcock is a god, as is Todd Solondz. Dogme 95 can be great. And the occasional classic like Bring it On.

Comedy - Alan Partridge, Flight of the Concordes, Summer Heights High, Russell Brand, Simon Amstell, Human Remains, Brass Eye, The Day Today.

Music – Where do you start…Here’s a snapshot – For dancing & general jumping around (though not exclusively) - FFS, Patti Smith, Crystal Castles Daft Punk, Caro Emerald, Ella Fitzgerald, DJ Hype, Kate Bush,MGMT, Peter Bjorn & John, Glenn Miller, Louis Jordan, Ting Tings, Hot Chip, I’m from Barcelona, Talking Heads, Diana Ross, Kylie is a guilty pleasure. For lounging around (and maybe occasionally jumping) – The Divine Comedy Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Beirut, Bright Eyes, Devendra Banhart, Flaming Lips, Nouvelle Vague, Belle & Sebastian, Flight of the Concordes, The Concretes, The Libertines, Lou Reed, Peggy Lee, Dusty Springfield, Joy Division

Food - I love food especially meat free roasts. I'm kind of a hypocritarian - would love to be a vegan but in reality a pescetarian & dairy reducer.
Six things I could never do without
Family & friends, my neon pink trousers, my bike, the little blue & red dot on my phone, passport, absinthe.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
When in a meaningful conscious flow - What it's all about, how to spend my time productively, colour & composition, how the body works, how amazing the music I'm listening to is. In reality - what clothes to wear, life admin, what to do with my hair, sex, what do other people think.
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no usual. I will often be found practicing on my uke, catching up with friends, watching a movie, a dance class, cooking/eating delicious things with or without some wine or gin.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once went to a halloween party dressed as a zombie only to find no one else had dressed up.
You should message me if
you'd like to. You know what humility is.
