My self-summary
First things first, because honesty if everything, I recently got out of an open long distance relationship. I'm not looking for anything serious right now, but I am looking for people to hang out with and be honest and open with.

Grew up in Austin TX. Lived in Chicago for 8 years. Somewhere in there I moved to Hood River and went snowboarding for a winter, moved to Seaside and went surfing for a summer and then moved back Chicago. Moved to Portland 3 years ago and I'm still trying to get the hang of it.

Writer, director, builder, jack of all trades when it comes to theater.

Once I pick an instrument, I'm sure i will discover that I am a prodigy at it.
What I’m doing with my life
Making a living working in theater. Filling my time extra time working on side projects and rounding out my extracurricular social arts education. Waiting around to be discovered. Trying to be healthy and failing on the weekends. Getting outside more.
I’m really good at
Not flipping out. Being a dilettante. Dance breaks. Freestyle walking. Not taking anything too seriously, because fuck it. Over thinking things I have to post on the internet.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my smile, which can swing from charming to to Joker-esque at the drop of a hat, but rarely makes it into pictures.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Here are the top ten things in each category that came to my head just now:

Books: Tenth of December, Savage Detectives, Gone Away World, Pleasures and Sorrows of Work, Pale Fire, Borges, The Body Artist, Something by Dave Eggars, Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs, and V (Because you can't put Gravity's Rainbow on here without people thinking you are an asshole)

Movies: Primer, Basquiat, Rosemary's Baby, The Guard, Velvet Goldmine, Kafka, Perfect Sense, The Ruling Class, The Shout, Royal Tennenbaums

Shows: Sherlock, Black Mirror, Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, Firefly, Adventure Time, Frisky Dingo, Pushing Daisies, FLCL,

Music: Father John Misty, CHVRCHES, Future Islands, Tuneyards, LCD Soundsystem, Buke and Gase, St. Vincent, Dirty Projectors, Thermals, Japandroids, Mountain Goats

Food: Anything that doesn't have mayonnaise, mustard, white creamy dressings or mushrooms in it. Except for potato salad, I love that shit!
Six things I could never do without
Intellectual discourse on any topic that's not "How awesome is reality television!": It's not

A watch: I know it makes me out dated, but I'm done with digging in my pockets for my phone.

Glasses or contact lenses: I'm sooooooo blind

Things to climb on: Whatever those may be

Theater and Theatre
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Is there something wrong with me because I don't like coffee?
On a typical Friday night I am
Working mostly. That's life in the theater. And then hoping I'll get out in time for whatever hijinks and/or shenanigans are on the menu, weather permitting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not very good at pasta to sauce ratios...
You should message me if
You want to hang out after a show.
If you want to go see a show.
You like to grab drinks on a Monday night.
You've got a new bar to check out (I'm getting tired of my regular watering holes...)
You want company going up to the mountain or out to the beach or just goofing around Portland.
You want to go climbing (at the Circuit) or biking.
Just because?
