My self-summary
I'm a chronically ill feminist with more righteous indignation than sense. I spend most of my time messing around on my laptop, reading a fantasy novel, or playing video games while cuddling with my cat. I like to go out and do things with my husband sfitty when I'm feeling well enough, but without him I'll usually opt to stay in.

I'm best friends with turandot8289. She bears the brunt of my complex self-reflection.

I'm a somewhat comedic person, or at least I hope so since I constantly pepper my conversation with witty comments. It's possible that I'm just getting pity laughs for my awkwardness, but since it's positive reinforcement either way I'm not going to examine it too hard.

Also, I'm a goon at

I am angry, salty, and a feminist
What I’m doing with my life
I'm going to school at UW-Milwaukee right now. I'm trying to get out and make more friends, since I've never been particularly good at that. I suppose right now I'm just enjoying living on my own and getting to know myself and who I want to be.

Lately I've been sitting around the house lumpishly due to my cystic fibrosis, a genetic illness that kicks the shit out of my lungs.
I’m really good at
Singing when my lungs allow it, over-analyzing entertainment media for misogyny and ableism, being filled with impotent rage. I'm also occasionally quite skilled at packing away literal pounds of meat in one sitting, but I have to be in the right mood and it has to be the right kind of meat. Steak, bacon, and raw tuna preferred.
The first things people usually notice about me
I has the boobies.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: My dad introduced me to Tolkien at a very young age (3 or 4 years old) and started reading to me before bed when I was 6. The Lord of the Rings, A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the Wheel of Time series, anything by Terry Pratchett, Tolkien, Stephen King, George R.R. Martin, Christopher Moore, NK Jemisin, the list of books and authors goes on.

Movies: I like the usual geeky classics like Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Dr. Strangelove, This Is Spinal Tap, and others of that ilk. I like anime to a certain extent, too, although I hardly watch it very often. I mostly like high-quality stuff by Miyazaki or things put out by Ghibli Studios. Naruto can go suck a dick. The Lord of the Rings, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Scary Movie, Psycho, anything Monty Python I also love horror movies, be they good or bad. Zombie movies in particular are pretty awesome. Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead, and Night of the Living Dead are good examples. I don't like movies that rely too much upon gore, though. The Saw movies and Hostel are good examples of what I DON'T like. Romantic Comedies also kind of annoy me; they're really not my thing. I also enjoy action movies, although only the truly good ones stick in my mind.

Music: I love all sorts of music, but what I listen to most is indie and classic rock and metal. Not that I can necessarily tell you anything about who does what songs, but it's what I enjoy. Pink Floyd, Opeth, Bruce Springsteen, The Who, The Beatles, Nine Inch Nails, Emperor, Crosby Stills and Nash, Blue Man Group, The New Pornographers, :Wumpscut:, Ben Folds, Jonathan Coulton, Moonsorrow, Mumford and Sons, Adele. Like I said, my tastes are all over the place.

Food: sashimi-grade tuna, chocolate malts, pork fried rice, root beer, cheeseburgers, Italian, Indian, Chinese

TV Shows: Metalocalypse, Soap, Arrested Development, Firefly, House MD, Supernatural, Game of Thrones I used to watch The Simpsons a lot, but in the past few years it's really gone downhill. I'm also a fan of crime TV shows like Criminal Minds and Law and Order SVU despite their huge inaccuracies.
Six things I could never do without
my sweet, sweet medical equipment and medications that literally keep me alive
a warm bed
a computer w/ internet
my cat
my husband sfitty
I spend a lot of time thinking about
psychology, feminism, misogyny, cats, epic fantasy, food, liberal politics
On a typical Friday night I am
Either having a night in with wine and fancy food with my husband, heading out for dinner and a movie with friends, or chilling out with my cat and a book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am riddled with health problems due to genetics. These and other issues have impacted my self esteem over the years, and I've only recently started having any again. But now I'm pretty sure that I'm awesome, or at the very least I'll tear you a new asshole if you imply that I'm not. I also belch a lot, but most people find it funny.
You should message me if
You're a nerd, a feminist, a fellow chronic-illness-haver, or a lover of epic fantasy (may also fall under nerd heading).

Please no dick pics or attempts at soliciting sex, although I realize this request is likely futile.
