My self-summary
Aspiring novelist; seeker of rare music; cinéaste; world traveler; mediocre pianist; occasional journalist; hatzegopteryx.
What I’m doing with my life
Daydreaming. And I am intermittently writing what I hope will be my first published novel. Currently considering the pros and cons of going back to school to study screenwriting.
I’m really good at
playing pop songs on the piano by ear, applying winged eyeliner, identifying bit players in pre-code Hollywood films, caramelizing onions, going blank when asked what I'm good at.
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually the fairness of my skin, or my lips. Sometimes the aura of vague confusion.

The six things I could never do without
e minor, train windows, red lipstick, saudade, umami, dissonance
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the concept of nothingness, what modern music would sound like to Bach, ideas for television shows and films, American high schools in the first half of the 20th century (I collect antique yearbooks), the feasibility of dropping everything to professionally restore historic houses and buildings (feasibility is currently quite low considering that power tools still scare me)
On a typical Friday night I am
You should message me if
you have strong opinions about nonsense.
