My self-summary
I recently escaped the world of advertising, where I spent my days convincing you to eat more Oreos. It was just like Mad Men, but with less drinking. I am now a dancer: teaching, choreographing, performing, researching. I just moved to Columbus from NYC to start my PhD in dance. Hello, midwest! I'm loyal and caring, left-wing and level-headed, intelligent and artistic.

I make good stews in the winter, read incessantly, have a soft spot for upstate New York and Lake Ontario, love puns, Shakespeare, contemporary dance, and most things technology.
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching, dancing, and PhD-ing. Serving my field as best I can. Building web sites. Learning about my new home in Columbus, which is pretty great so far.
I’m really good at
I have recently discovered that I am a pretty good cook!
The first things people usually notice about me
Sometimes people tell me that I have really long eyelashes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Henry Miller, E.B. White, Kipling, Howard Zinn, Joyce, Carroll. Paul Muldoon and Kay Ryan for poetry. The New Yorker and Harper's. So many podcasts. All things Shakespeare. Beirut, Bach, Birdy, Coltrane, Cat Power, Lou Reed, Doveman, Rilo Kiley, Feist, The Beach Boys (they are awesome, deal with it), Miles Davis, Al Green, Jai Paul, Dizzy Gillespie, Glenn Gould, Beastie Boys, Arcade Fire, Matt & Kim, Ornette Coleman, REM, Stevie Wonder, Charles Tolliver, the Pixies, and old French songs.

This list kind of got away from me...
The six things I could never do without
Lots of NPR
A cup of tea
Lake houses
Crepes, and things with lemon in them
A progressive agenda
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Projects. What to make for dinner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Dinner with friends, seeing a performance, performing in a performance, relaxing, reading, playing with my best friend's little kid. I'm more of a cozy cafe than a loud bar or club person.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
One of the walls in my apartment has the most amazing wallpaper you've ever seen.
You should message me if
you are kind, intelligent, and romantic.
