Dear Man of my Life:
I am looking for you.
I am adventurous, inquisitive, and classy... a bright, affectionate, playful spirit, ready to laugh... who desires your company.
Are you a GOOD man? My expectations are high.
Do you live near me? I do not own a car.
Am I physically attracted to you? Hmmm. And you, me?
Will you, exquisite soul, come to be my best friend?
(FYI I: If you wonder why I answered "other" for Religion in the Details section, I subscribe to the Unitarian-Universalist principles.)
(FYI II: I use the "Like" button because, if you "Like" me back, we will both get an e-mail that indicates our mutual liking!)
.....I want to be physically attracted to you even as the looks that please me vary. Please tell me that you possess the intellect, backbone, and tenderness that make you a man of substance and character.
.....I hope that you are mindful and communication-savvy in easy and difficult time, genuinely interested in understanding. Rather than bicker in times of conflict, let's be allies in search of resolution, treating gently our vulnerabilities in order to feel safe with one another.
.....I want us to be glad just being together, whether during the mundane moments of life or during the romantic, memorable, inimitable moments in life. Whether working on projects together or independently, let's be grateful for simple joys, enjoying the comfort of each other's company.
.....I long to share warmth and attention, allowing our romance to evolve and deciding how we wish to continue our lives together as partners. We sit and talk, we watch and we listen, we express affection, we cook, we exercise and walk on trails, we travel, we problem-solve, we cry, we offer comfort, we go out to dine and to see movies or performances, we learn, we dance, we laugh, we sleep.

My taste in music varies widely. The childhood staple was Billy Joel and most of his music appeals to my aesthetic and sense of nostalgia. no artist/group dominates now. I take my music on a song-by-song basis.
Thai, Vietnamese, Ethiopian, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, American...! I tend to be healthily discriminating about what I consume yet there are so many tastes to savor!
...Metro--bus and rail,
...loving friends who share initiative, genuine mutual rapport, and help,
...my core belief in my own goodness and that of others,
...the companionship and affection of my cats (Sophie passed on New Year's Eve, and I will adopt again)... and
...the sure knowledge that there are men who believe that women are smart, funny, warm, pretty, tender, strong, creative human beings who make them better men!
...you recognize that, beyond the initial vetting process, these profiles are a hill of beans once we discover attraction even if we are uncertain as to what substance may follow
...you have a good reason and wish to tell me about it!
