My self-summary
So, it's been far too long since I've updated my profile. I'm a college graduate and have a great job teaching math to the hoodlums of the world. I moved back to the Houston area a little over a year ago after spending 12 years in East Texas. It's a beautiful area, but I needed a change of pace. I love being back in the area, but find it so hard to meet people as an adult. I love to cook, have a good glass of wine, and just chill on the couch to relax. On the other hand, I go to the gym when I can, and enjoy doing stuff outside when there's somebody go along for the ride (I am a ginger and burn easily, afterall). I'm sarcastic and love making others laugh, even if I'm the butt of the joke from time to time.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm doing my best to make sure 90 or so kids can do what I consider basic math. Then, I spend the next 2.5 months recuperating so the process can start all over again.
I’m really good at
Seeing both sides to most arguments. This usually means that I can sympathize with either side or play Devil's advocate just for the sake of argument. I'm also pretty good at making people laugh. I can't tell a joke to save my life (all I can usually remember is the punchline), but I'm a pretty funny guy in general.
The first things people usually notice about me
My red hair. But that's a little obvious. I also hear from people that I'm better looking than my pictures show. Like I said, I'm not photogenic. :-P

The six things I could never do without
I would list my family or friends and the actual necessities for living, but that goes without saying, so:

1. My phone
2. A belt
3. My glasses/contacts
4. Toothbrush
5. A good book
6. My dog
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Probably the same things most people think about: the future. Aside from that, I spend a lot of time thinking about proportionality, fractions, decimals, percents, integers, office referrals, etc. Haha.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either out with friends at a bar or movie, or at home by myself with a book or a video game. I think it's a pretty good balance.
