My self-summary
You should message me if you like the idea of sharing quality time with friends over dinner or perhaps a backyard fire-pit; the thought of spending a Saturday afternoon kayaking, hiking, or bike riding gets you excited and sounds more appealing than just ‘sitting-around’ all weekend; travel means more than just taking a trip, but having a bonding experience with someone; getting ‘dressed-up’ appeals to you, but you’re not afraid to get dirty either; you are not just willing to settle for ‘ok,’ but rather want this life to be more than that … then I am the right guy to message.

If you take the time to enjoy the moments that make up this life, have passion and a positive attitude, are motivation to do well and can still find the humor in everything, then we will make each others already great lives even better.

I am a confident, optimistic, driven, perceptive, and not so easily rattled individual. Rarely at a loss for words, but I listen first. My most valuable asset is my sense of humor.

I'm very open-minded and willing to take risks when needed. I love animals, meaningful conversations, and self reflection.

Also - because people seem to either ask these questions a lot or explicitly state them in their profile - I have no children, hold down a career, have a car, have my own place and I am not interested in playing games.
What I’m doing with my life
Taking in the moment.
I’m really good at
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books – I don’t read much fiction, but one of my favorites (which is fiction based on a true events) was” Devil in the White City.” I also liked the Bill Bryson Book “A Short History of Nearly Everything." "Modern Romance" by Aziz Ansari - funny, but also sadly very true of modern dating. "Start with Why" Simon Sinek (because we read it at work - not a bad read though)

Movies – Office Space, Requiem for a Dream, Boondock Saints, Anchorman, Kingpin, V for Vendetta, 500 Days of Summer, High-Fidelity, Avengers/Marvel or DC ... I'm a movie lover in general - mostly comedies, but I do like just about any genre.

TV - The Walking Dead, Silicon Valley, GoT, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Louis, Archer, Master of None, Mr. Robot, Daredevil, and a lot of random History Channel stuff. I'm not a big 'reality TV' fan.

Music – I like mostly rock/indie/alternative. My favortie band is The Foo Fighters, but some others include bands along the lines of Jimmy Eat World, Muse, Bastille, Florence and the Machine, The Killers, Mumford & Sons, Weezer, Old Show Medicine Crow, AWOLNATION, Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Kings of Leon, . . . I love rock music mostly – but I find all music enjoyable to some extent.

Food – I love pizza, sushi bar, or brew pub when I go out to eat. Despite what I just listed, I actually eat pretty healthy on a day-to-day basis!
The six things I could never do without
#1 & #2 - My family & friends (means the same thing to me)
Long walks or hikes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Presence. Time is often said to be something that can be both given and taken away, but I find this notion insane. Time is a manifestation of mankind’s mind and is simply a tool to be referenced as needed (For example – setting a time to meet someone; setting a timer when cooking; referencing an event in history). There is only now. The past is a collection of memories we may use as lessons to make decisions now, but nothing more. The future is a far off point in which we may plan for now (set goals), but the future itself does not actually exist. Time is a measurement that is no more or less useful than any other form of measurement we use.
On a typical Friday night I am
Dinner with friends, staying in, dressing up for a nice evening on the town, going to a concert, staying at home and watching a movie, heading off for a weekend out of town. I don't have a routine for my Friday nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I pause after reading my fortune from a fortune cookie and try to decide if it actually applies to some aspect of what's going on in my life at that moment.
You should message me if
- If you are messaging me, you already love who you are; you live life fully and are always striving to be the best version of you; you’re looking for someone supportive to compliment you.

- The rest is negotiable. (well ... you can’t be a blood relative!)
