My self-summary
Sometimes all I wanna do is find my way to the subway and ask for tokens and look at the ticket vendor and say, games, changes and fears, when will they go from here, when will they stop? The woman at the booth will look baffled and probably won’t know how to answer to that but I’ll take a transfer and go ahead anyway and I’ll tell the passenger waiting on the platform that I may appear to be free, but I’m just a prisoner of his love, and I may seem alright and smile when he leaves, but my smiles are just a front, I’ll emphasise unequivocally: “just a front,” and on my way out of the subway I’ll look back and see the powerless conductor from the opposite direction staring at me as the train leaves the station, and I’ll yelp, I try to say goodbye and I choke, I try to walk away and I stumble, though I try to hide it it’s clear, my world crumbles when you are not near, his eyebrows will raise but I hope at least he smiles and waves his hand to show he clearly understands what’s going on here.
What I’m doing with my life
Writer, editor and translator studying international relations and history. I speak English and French, I’m struggling with German, my Spanish is almost gone, and I speak the Portuguese of my grandparents, which means I have no clue how to say things like “computer” or “email.”

I am Canadian and therefore communicate with the outside world using British English. On the basis of imperial history I do not agree with this but I much prefer the looks of words as they are spelled within this infamous empire that just won’t let go.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Public transportation, and especially sounds that can be heard in public transportation, such as London’s “mind the gap” and New York’s “stand clear of the closing doors please.” I also think a lot about maps.
