My self-summary
Philosopher, feminist, liberal, openminded, openhearted, lover of the wild, and seeker of truth. A paradox in the guise of a hypocrite. ;) A scientist and a mystic. Type Five on the enneagram.I have lived in the Bay for 14 years now, and love it here.
What I’m doing with my life
I love my work on domestic and international energy policy. I'm also passionate about continued evolution. Which, for me, means living an examined life, being more myself, manifesting my life's work and supporting others in manifesting theirs.

Beginning conversation and gatherings to build community based on a container of trust, transparency, truth and love, like this:

Currently also wondering if you're actually out there, reading this, and whether the OKC robot actually works or is just another version of the cosmic joke. ;)
I’m really good at
Things I'm passionate about and put my mind to.

Finding the right gift for someone. :)

Looking for you in all the wrong places.
The first things people usually notice about me
You tell me. I think different people focus on different aspects of my being, so it usually says more about them than me. On second thought, probably that I have long hair that looks much better than the pics I have up, or that I'm brown.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:The more beautiful world our hearts know is possible. A story waiting to pierce you. The call of the wild. The conference of the birds. Cutting through spiritual materialism. The book of the book. Antifragile. Too many to list here really.......I've also been known to binge-read historical fiction. :)

Movies: Lincoln. The Fountain. Baraka. Amadeus. The Black Swan. Inception. A Beautiful Mind. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. 8 Mile. Chicago. The Godfather. Motorcycle Diaries. Amadeus. Life of Pi. Hotel Rwanda. Kill Bill. The hero. Mostly intelligent, well-made, graphically rich, cerebral, real, gritty, emotionally compelling, sexy or funny movies.

TV Shows: Mad Men. The Tudors. House of Cards. The Daily Show. See above re: movies.

Music: I'm omnivorous musically, but don't feel the need to keep track of the trends. I love heart opening music of any sort or great rhythm.

Food: Anything veggie that's well made.
The six things I could never do without
I could probably do without most things. I guess the wild outdoors, my friends, meditation, self reflection and meaningful work are what I value most in life.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The meaning of life, and my role in it. The unsustainable path civilization is on and how to face the transition with compassion and an open heart. The new story of interbeing, holography and abundant life.

How I can own my own shadow.

How lonely it might feel to wake up last in a world already awake, or the opposite. ;) Lemmings. Politics. Spirituality. Science. Psychology. Tibetan Buddhism. Sufism. Kashmir Shaivism. Tantra. How to alchemically transform Kool Aid into Lemming Aid.

And this:
On a typical Friday night I am
Reading, hanging out with friends, taking long walks, drinking wine with cheese at the local lounge, playing chess or a boardgame.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ask me.
You should message me if
You read my profile, and think we might have some sort of chemistry.

You are passionate about evolving into your highest potential and support that in others.

You are kind, respectful, classy, know your power, and are humble inspite of it, and because of it.

You see other's flaws as reflections of your own humanity.

You prefer clear communication.

You don't judge books by their covers.

You're okay going slow due to my busy international travel schedule.
