My self-summary
i'm a good conversationalist, i'm joyful, and i'm full of unending creativity and creation: come to think of it, it's a really good thing i'm not a scientist, because i think i'd end up being one of those mad scientists in movies, who ends up crossing the dna of sharks and rabbits, and having them escape and go rogue, causing mass destruction of nearby cities, which would call for the lone hero antics of a will smith or a bruce willis to step in and try to save the day, as the rampaging shark/bunnies mutate further, developing chainsaw teeth that...wait, i forgot the original question.
What I’m doing with my life
i'm killing time until i win the lottery. i'm working on my second novel, as well as slew of short stories, in order that i may quit my joe job and dedicate myself further to my artistic pursuits. i've also been making a lot of life changes in order to become healthier and happier. i'm seeking truth, one day at a time, and beauty one moment at a time. i'm striving to find ultimate purpose in a purposeless world. i'm paying the mortgage, the car note, and all the other bills before they're due, and constantly thinking about walking away from it all and wandering the earth with nothing more than what i can carry on my back.
I’m really good at
conversations; being a good listener; understanding multiple perspectives on multiple layers; writing in first person narrative; drawing with both my dominant hand and my non dominant hand (sometimes at the same time); manipulating an etch a sketch in order to produce something other than abstract design; lifting heavy things with ease; picking out fruit; making breakfast; doing oil changes; watching bad movies; rolling cigarettes by hand; making up stories; and reading out loud
The first things people usually notice about me
my grizzly bear face? also, my super muscular forearms.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
i'm and avid reader of everything: i like charles bukowski (who is my favorite writer, and my favorite book of all time, which, you know, maybe i shouldn't call it until my deathbed, but hey, i live for the moment, is women by him; most amazing book ever), david foster wallace (such a shame he killed himself, completely brilliant), bret easton ellis (so great, super good at showing rich people being so completely f'ed up), chuck palahniuk (fight club particularly, was a book that made me re-examine the nature of manhood), i also continuously read zen flesh/zen bones and the hagurake: way of the samurai, which i find to be very leveling; so, i know that this admission is largely considered to be dating suicide, but i need to speak my truth: i also read a lot of comic books of all different genres, however, i mostly read within the superhero genre. there i've said it. feels good to get that out there. there is something to say about the values instilled by superheroes, but that's something i'll save for later. when it comes to reading, i'll read just about anything that interests me.

i listen to a lot of different music: i like modest mouse and tom waits, postal service, fountains of wayne, mc paul barman, johnny cash, patsy cline, really anything. i can usually find something to like about every genre of music, however, i generally tend to steer away from anything that's too heavy, like industrial thrash metal. i don't really like being screamed at by people who hate their dads, with lyrics i can't understand.

and i enjoy asian food, mexican food, and italian food, as well as simple american fare, found at any diner, or chain family restaurant. i'm pretty easy when it comes to eating, and always game for trying new things.
Six things I could never do without
1. my computer
2. a good pen
3. fresh, clean air
4. my dreams, good and bad
5. memories
6. my favorite cowboy shirt
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what i would do if i had superpowers. what i would do if i actually did win the lottery. picking up and leaving my current life. my diet. ideas for stories or drawings.
On a typical Friday night I am
writing short stories. watching bad movies. doing dishes. occasionally venture out and hanging out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, i believe in true love.
You should message me if
you're interested in good conversation, witty banter, or my first novel, which, i'll talk at great length if allowed :)
