My self-summary
I believe that life is miraculous and every waking moment is a gift filled with endless possibilities, and that you only have to walk toward what you want. But, as a wise man once told me, when trying to jump a chasm, try not to do it in two leaps.

I believe in compassion. I believe that having compassion for others, showing empathy, and mercy, is the most endearing quality that a human being can have, and that's what melts my heart.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm at a good place in my life, and looking forward to a new adventure.
I’m really good at
at making something out of nothing, I enjoy making art from found objects, and I'm amazing at making shadow puppets. I'm also really good at using my turn signals! I'm a firm believer that the world would be a better place if everyone else did too.
The first things people usually notice about me
is my voice, people always compliment me on it. A few weeks ago a phone salesman actually stopped mid-pitch to tell me that my sultry voice was "buttering (his) bread", haha!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I love post-apocalyptic present-day science fiction (for example, Lucifer's Hammer and Mister Touch), socio-political tomes like the Story of B, and Ishmael, and anything written by Christopher Moore.

Movies: This runs the gambit! There are so many good films, like Ghandi, or Kill Bill (let's cut to the chase: anything Quentin Tarantino), but I also like metaphysical stuff (like Mindwalk) and I love thrillers. My childhood favorite was Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Anything thought-provoking.

Shows: Buffy, Angel, Torchwood, Doctor Who. 'Nuff said.

Music: (Deep breath) Unaccompanied cello (Yo-Yo Ma), Appalachian & Blue Grass, Folk music (Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Townes Van Zant), Classic. I like both kinds of music: country and western.

Food: The spicier the better! Indian, Mexican, Mediterranean, comfort food (what's better than macaroni and cheese? Oh.. bacon mac & cheese).
Six things I could never do without
Crushed Ice
Bedtime stories on my iPod
The daily news (MSNBC)
Rocks and minerals
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how I would survive the Apocalypse. I also think about world peace, kittens, and glitter.
On a typical Friday night I am
pouring a glass of wine, grabbing a book, and decompressing from the work week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I saw a UFO once (for real). I did. And I was with a group of people, and it was a clear summer night, and it was massive, slow moving, and we were all standing there watching it as it moved from East to West and then disappeared. It was the most extraordinary thing I'd ever seen. If I had been alone, it would have been terrifying.
PS: no, we weren't high.
PPS: I can't believe I admitted that.
You should message me if
you have most of your teeth and no criminal record (I'm raising my standards).
